@@GNewcomb-q9v you can have a personal preference for your enjoyment of the show and I respect that, but there is no way around acknowledging it’s complex writing and extremely economical screenplay, not a single second is wasted in this show. Every scene adds dimension and nuance to the characters and their relationships/goals. Typically those things tend to breed incredible shows that people adore en masse, IE Breaking Bad, Severence, The Sopranos etc. it surprises me that you like Rogue One and not Andor, Andor is Rogue One on Steroids. Andor can afford to do a ton of character building and complex mechanics before the action sequences due to its nature as a series as opposed to a movie. The action sequences come as a result of compelling character drama, and as such are much more interesting and cathartic. The fact that the show has around 4 or 5 leads with 6 to 9 co-leads, each with their own arcs, goals, and shifting relationships speaks volumes to the quality of this show. I think you should give it another chance and pay attention to the dialogue rather than tune out and wait for the action sequences, your mind will be blown.

Might make for some interesting SW experience to watch Andor first, not 100% knowing how some characters and the story itself is ultimatelly gonna end up. Ofc you are gonna miss some references and some already established lore.

It is (Mostly) 3 episodes arcs that allows the tension to build more before the climax of each arc. For some, this format felt too slow. For people who don't mind this format, they often end up loving Andor. Adds a lot of depth to the Star Wars universe around the early days of the rebellion.

So, Netflix isn't the only one that should get the credit for how great the show was.
