I’ve done a lot of boating and when bad boaters take on libations it only gets worse! From what I’ve seen from Florida to Minnesota most think that driving a boat means drinking and a few other substances go along with it. Snowmobilers , Motorcycles are used to go from bar to bar. I do not drink when operating especially when you are responsible for your people. That doesn’t mean I don’t laugh my ass off with your content ! I’m hooked on your show.

Anybody wanting to help secure my boat was told RULE 1:- Do NOT get hold of a bow line and pull on it. Secure a stern line first, and then judicious use of power can swing the boat as required. If you drag the bow in to the dock, the guy on the helm has no options.
@nickjohns11923 жыл бұрын
It's called a springer line. Most people actually come in to slow. Tide and wind will catch you out. Use a bit speed turn to get the bow in.. just b4 you touch the dock.. opposite lock and give a quick blast of power a stern.. get a line on midship and your life will be alot easier to get bow and Stern line on. The 40f lochin I drive with twin 350cats is a peace of piss to land in all weather I could teach any person to land her in a day. Twins do make life alot easier
@commonsense-grs2 жыл бұрын
Broncos Guru, can you please answer me this question, why don't you yanks use one rope tied on the bow cleat down to the stern cleat. With one rope, one person jumps onto the dock or throws it over the dock poles and pulls in on the rope that is needed first eg. if stern is floating away. Also most people on these boat need a lot of training in throwing ropes. I'm a marine rescue skippers from Australia and I thought we had terrible boaters here, but you you guys win hands down.

It seems a puzzle why the line handlers on the dock don’t use the dock posts to belay the lines as they try to maneuver the boats. Then just tug on the lines. That’s a lot of stress on the hands when there is a post handy. One wrap around the post will hold most boats and allow the line handler to let out or take in the line. Two wraps and the line could be dropped and a second line tended to without loosing the boat. Also if a line is slack and wrapped once or twice around the post, the slack part of the line can be pulled moving the boat with HALF the effort as tugging on the bitter end.😊
