Well said and well done! I'm 62 and have been tolerant of any gender my entire life. That wasn't taught, or learned... it's just how I felt... indifferent, but in a positive way. And LGBTQA doesn't bother me or matter to me in a negative way Our gay friends are happier, healthier, more fun and WAY more tolerant and respectful than most of our other friends. If ANY person AT ALL threatens me or my family directly, I will go RAMBO on them, regardless of how they identify. Other than that, I don't really care who you are or what you do with your life, as long as it does NOT bring harm to OTHERS. That is just plain disrespectful and should be dealt with accordingly. Make it a GREAT day!!!

Hi Ryan. Wow, courage plus. I'm an old straight guy, I love your channel. You and Darrin are inspirational to me staying on my bike and hoping to get out for a tour one day. I'm have been staring at this screen for about 1/2 an hour trying to come up with a supportive comment that won't come off as me being a jerk (I'm not) We don't know each other but I have to say that I am proud of you. I think if we met we would be friends. I'm an introvert so it would be your crazy outgoing extrovert personality that would scare me more than anything else, but after a beer and some bike talk I'm sure that would go away too. Congratulations and you have my full support. My 6 year old grandson is identifying as female. He showed up to my son's wedding wearing a pink dress and a pink purse. Most of my family was a little shocked, some were horrified. I grabbed my "granddaughter", put her on my lap and gave her a great big hug and kiss. Hopefully, her journey will be a little easier because of people like you. Love ya.

This rocks! Caught you on an ACN stream once and this came up on my recommendations. I'm glad you are brave enough to say this. It's hard to find trans voices in cycling, and as a person who struggles with gender identity myself it makes me feel rosy inside to hear the words you've said. Sometimes it feels like there isn't a soul in cycling who's had doubts about their gender, so even one more is important.
