Many older men come from a generation when coming out and being open would mean persecution and alienation. They may find solace in seeing how things are changing and hearing young people's stories about living life in a way they could only ever dream of. We shouldn't just assume they're all a bunch of old perverts.

I'm writing a book series called 'Dogwood' that takes place in the 80's and it deals with how different and dangerous it could be to come out. Great vid. I'm in Vancouver.

I just saw your video. Very nice. it would be very interesting to see what you’re like today. I hope you’re doing well. You mentioned a little consideration for the homophobe and I hope you feel different about that. Never tolerate discrimination. We have as much right to be here and live our lives as anyone else. However, it’s not always easy. I knew always but fully came out to others in university in 1972. Everyone was fine. It was different then in how you met people. However, I related to everything you said.

bravo for coming out. Brave, smart, and cute. Welcome to the world where there are LOTS just like you. I My self have housed many teens who received the worse side of coming out. That being the parents tossed them out on to the street. I clothed, fed, housed, educated them all for free and no strings attached. Now that I am getting too old to do that I hope there are others out there who will do that. Best wishes to you.

very interesting what he said about wanting to BE other people rather than being WITH other people. I would kind of idolized individuals who I would think are perfect or good looking or that I admired because they have it together.

Agreed 100%! Although I told my parents in 1968. it just got worse. At 30, I finally told my siblings and freinds, and most of them disappeared. Started going to bars at 18, which made life easier, but a week didn't go by without hearing about another kid getting killed or maimed with a baseball bat. by bashers, or was thrown out of their parents house for coming out, until my dad kicked me out. After I went to a shink for 3 years my mom finally let me go back to college. Terror?. I lived it.

You didn't choose who you're attracted to, and you can't change who you're attracted to, so the rational choice is to accept who you are. Good for you that you haven't wasted years trying to be something you're not. I hope you have a wonderful life.

KZbin ... where people can be themselves in spite of social pressures to be otherwise. It still takes courage, so it's good to see people coming out more, that is a strength of character that the majority people lack.

Damn dude, you are beautiful looking! Just had to get that off my chest first. Man, I personally knew I was attracted to other boys when I was only six. I suppose I was lucky, at least in that respect. I am glad that at last you came to your truth once and for all. Also, putting ourselves in "their" shows might not be a such bad idea. However, in turn we should always remember to require them to do the same for "us". They might think differently as well. Thanks for a really COOL coming out story.

Congratulations, you are very brave and doing the right thing. I was born in a conservative family and after 30 years I had a deep depression and did not know the cause, after several weeks in therapy with a psychiatrist, he told me that I did not accept my homosexuality. Now I know who I am and I accept myself, this is the most important, know who we are and accept yourself.

Peace be upon you, as a human who has a conscience, you must to listen to me, I just want to say that:- If you got anyone in your life that ever said to you ''how did it come to this'' in the unkind ways, you know what I mean. This is what you tell them, you look at straight into their eyes and you saying: 1. Humanity is about as long as we bring ourselves to loves someone else, no matter what colour, no matter what race, no matter what religion, and no matter what gender. Humanity just want us to be loved, and to be able to love somebody back. 2. I believe that God will please, and embraces with ours' kind and loving spirits. 3. And in God's eyes kindness and love are what it’s all about.
