@@DficienChow can legacy characters be rip offs? Thawne was dead. Barry was dead. Zolomon decided to take on Zoom’s legacy so Wally would have an arch foe to push him above and beyond in his heroism. Zolomon as a result was a more interesting character than Thawne was back in the day, and his unique power set made him even more threatening. You wouldn’t call Harry Osborn a rip off when he took up Norman’s Green Goblin mantle and became a more interesting and layered villain than the og.

Not true Thawne when he was the flash of the future was kinda put in jail by barry who traveled to the future bc all the crimes they stopped were comitted by time. Thawne spent his time and changed his suit into the colors of the kid flash after finding out Barry no longer cared about Thawne and that Thawne was nothing more than a forgotten footnote he raced to the flash museum. There he found something lost in his time it was that the reverse flash was killed and that his true identity was eobard thanwe. After the heartbreak and learning that Barry would kill him he became the reverse flash to make Barry's life a living hell. Or well this was his original origin story atleast knwoing DC it might have already changed i'm not sure.

However, Hunter was a good guy a cop which imo makes it arguably just as bad since he knows right from wrong better than Thawne, who always came off as an oddball psycho by comparison. Hunter made Wally's life miserable out of spite for Wally not helping him and going after his wife messing up her pregnancy, which is pretty petty and messed up. In his mind it was "making Wally a better hero" but in reality just doing an evil deed to teach someone a lesson. In that regard it's really no different than Eobard going after Barry's mom. Both are evil just different kinds but Hunter has helped Barry and Wally at least, Eobard would never do that unless it meant him being the one to torture and kill Barry himself knowing him lol.

Zoom has blue lenses on his suit, and they make his eyes look darker and red. But he has no connection to the speed-force, therefore he cannon change his eye color like in the show. He can't phase, and isn't protected by the speedforce while shifting his timeline. That's why his cowl has lenses.
