My husband of fitty three years went home to be with Lord two months ago. I am having to learn to trust in Jesus more than ever. When He calls me over, I will run to Him gladly. I am facing ill health with reduced income. My two sons take good care of me and my daughter in law is good to me. Also. I have two precious grandchildren that I adore. Good neighbors and good fellow sisters and brothers in Christ. The Good Shepard provides for thsi old lame sheep when Think of it. Thank you Pastor Guzak for feeding your flock faithfully

There may be a parent out there wondering about their kid coming to the Lord who may have strayed but knows better than how they are presently living ... God knows how to move us - and get thru to us in this wonderful story Pastor David brings us about Elijah the prophet think about the things going thru this religious Jewish holy man who loved the law knew the traditions and adhered to them - 1st he is running from a woman, (not good) albeit it a woman of evil - so most likely - very wise upon closer reflection, still he feared what he should not, as God leads men to do as He wills next he is in a wilderness of escape, God uses UNCLEAN RAVENS to bring the food that sustains his life, He mercifully provides drink, until one day, let's not get too comfy, time to move out of camp Elijah, not doing much here are we? so the good times dry up - has this ever happened in your life? now, God directs him to go to the house of another woman, this one a GENTILE - also UNCLEAN and UNHEARD of for a Jewish man to even consider, yet God knows what He is doing, does he not? So when we question God, what in the world, or it is beyond our understanding, preference or comfort zone, realize He IS and He is "at work" to make sure His will gets carried out as Romans 8.28 tells us.

isn't it AMAZING how God works - not even thinking of a Jewish prophet, she is about to do all she can for her and her boy as the end (doom and gloom) nears. Yet God stretches both Elijah's faith and the Gentile woman - compelled to OBEY, LED - and the prophet goes a step further, feed me 1st. Do you trust that much? Do you believe what God may have in store, although you cannot see ahead? And so it was, the happy ever after story, yet never would have happened if both went their way on their own, not considering to listen to and obey God. Truly a MARVEL of a story for us all to adhere to when in challenge without understanding.

and that is the key in our life today ... do we TRUST GOD, to MOVE on where we are not ACCUSTOMED to? Not comfortable with? Against what we know and have learned growing up? Do we TRUST GOD enough to OBEY or do we reject and IGNORE like Peter almost did, not so Lord, lol?
