I know you just took a break, but this was real good. Don’t get burnt out, but keep these up even if just a few special times a year because y’all a fun group. Guests were all lively and funny. Game was fun. Audio has gotten way better since start. Editing is nice too with the slight back beat the give some vibe to dead air as MTG can be a thoughtful game of silence every once in a while.

Joe!!!!!! Just recieves my playmat the other day! Everyone loved it at the playgroup! Great quality and the artwork is amazing. Was slightly awkward with a bunch of grown men feeling a playmat saying, "this feels good and is thick lmfao" felt good playing my Praetor reanimator deck on it! Forbidden Orchard was one of the first cards that I added when putting together my Kelsien deck. In fact I have a whole category just labeled “Prey” that can create tokens under an opponent’s control for him to hunt. It’s always cool to see how others have built him. Victory and glory to Mardu!

Wait, isn't the elephant off of Generous Gift a green creature? I thought the Kelsien had ProtGreen from the Sword, so it should have been able to swing through regardless. doesnt giving zangief trample just deal lethal then excess goes through? it's not dealt to the creature to force the sacrifice ability?

I think that he can choose how much damage is done to the creature. So, if Zangief is a 7/4, and is blocked by a 2/2, he can assign 3 dmg to the creature, then trample over for 4 dmg to the player. Then, his excess damage ability triggers.

42:22 ish, let's all learn together. i am not a judge. This is not a "got'em" comment this comment is meant to enlighten everyone. When Dockside Extortionist ETB's because it has an ETB trigger it goes on "the stack" at this point opponents can respond to it ETB'ing. The Elvish Piper being cast can be responded to, but not it ETB'ing as it does not have an ETB trigger. Having Sneak Attack on the battlefield, [Player] misses opportunity to demonstrate an "infinite mana combo" gaining six treasure tokens, needing one [red] mana to put dockside onto the battlefield and one and a green (two treasures) to bounce Dockside back to hand. Upon resolving Temur Sabretooth's ability it's immune to deathtouch until end of turn becoming indestructible. The point i want to make here is once you have a way to "Flicker" a permanent like dockside extortionist at instant speed it enables you to pull off such on the stack. Let's talk about how this combo could had been stopped in it's tracks. When Dockside Extortionist resolves on the battlefield [Player] had one red mana. [Player 2] could had activated Kelsien, the Plague's tap ability while the six treasure token gain was on the stack as [Player] did not have the mana to also use Temur Sabretooth's activated ability. Then [Player] would lose Dockside to the graveyard, then gain the six treasure tokens, preventing an infinite mana combo. However, depending on [Player 2]'s Kelsien, the Plague's target for the tap ability [Player] can still leave Kelsien, the Plague in a tapped position. i hope i explained all this well and i hope this was illuminating and helpful insight! Good gaming everyone!

Only possible because his commander had death touch with the Quietus Spike. Tap the commander, do the one damage, creature dies, untaps thanks to the staff, repeat. An indestructible creature shuts that right down.

Cant tell how many treasures he had when he was trying to bounce in response to the kelsian ping but if it was 3 then he could bounce dockside then sneak it back in and repeat infinite times then bouce the target and sneak out hand.

Commander Damage can only be achieved through combat. The 21 points of damage has to come from swinging your commander at a player and successfully doing combat damage.
