Josh in Command Zone: Boros is the worst color combination, it is so weak compared to others. Josh in Game Knights: Watch me as I almost win 1 vs 3 with a Boros deck. Also I am so glad D won after he beating Josh alone almost singlehandedly while others didn't contribute at all.

To be fair, Josh kills half of himself a lot due to fetch land and tomb. And the 2/1 unblockable went a couple times his way. Josh plays risky a lot which is fun to watch (like how he self milled himself A LOT; which jimmy won by finishing by milling the last of the library)

Drift Wisp wrong. He plays scalding tarn and puts counters on his guys then he immediately cracks the scalding tarn to make a token all before combat.

Yup. Could have killed him and left back blockers for the rest. Surprised he didn't make that decision, although he had to think ahead to how many buffs he'd be getting with his Felidar Retreat. Edit: Right, he didn't even need to "leave back" blockers, because Felidar Retreat grants vigilance.

Yeah, it was a little weird, but was probably just to showcase all the decks. It definitely would have been tight still, imho. The power and value that Jimmy was generating was getting to the point of being able to zone in on Josh pretty strongly.

I feel like D would have had a better chance if he'd made an alliance with Josh after his 'alliance' either made no effort to take Josh out or attacked him instead of Josh. Given how things ended, it didn't matter this time, but it might be worth talking about. On a positive note, I loved that Mage Slayer animation!

I actually thought that wasn't the worst idea. If she'd done it in combat, Josh could have used Akiri's ability in response to make her indestructible. Using it in upkeep means he doesn't really get to do that because it would tap her and deny him the ability to attack.

2 things here: Josh could have equipped the engineer to have protection with akiri (still not working on -1/-1 but anyway). And D could have sacrificed gray merchant to bring back on attack and trigger an additional time to kill (maybe more safely) :3 Great Play ^^

I’ve only played magic like once or twice. This is getting me to learn a lot really quickly! I really appreciate the animations and the zooming and the teaching of the cards and strategies. And getting to hear all what y’all are thinking. Amazing!!!!!! Love this!!

I loved the party deck so much, especially because 1. Tazri had the best animation, 2. everyone was saying how bad party was at the beginning, and 3. how close she came to winning! Awesome episode.

Yes...technically - but he tapped 2 white sources for the mindstone. Chances are he did it right the 1st time, then they did a 2nd take and that time he tapped the wrong things and that's what we see. He very much had the capability to get the Mind Stone and Sram out though.

Josh: Boros is the worst color pairing in EDH. (flashbacks to Firesong and Sunspeaker game) Super explosive first few turns this game. Josh is clearly lying to us all in an attempt to keep the most powerful color pairing all to himself!!!!

I might have missed something but at 22:00 Josh tapped red and collorless to play Sram, Senior Edificier which are the wrong colours, he would have needed white. Amazing episode anyways!

I really enjoyed these ads, especially GFUEL. They’re so creative! It was great to see D win after doing ALL the work to kill Josh (with a key assassin’s trophy assist). Very cool to see the party come to full power after a slow start and clearly dominate by the end, just needed 1 more turn.

If you got the mana for it then sure, but I'd rather leave mana up and bluff even if I don't got nothing than to tap out and let everyone know I'm wide open. It's a contextual thing, man, there is no "always yes" or "always no"

And even if you somehow lucked out and they don't have it, you're gonna give them a chance to draw into it? I can understand not paying it if the player had an overall bad game and letting them draw out of pity, but unless you need every last mana you have and the Rhystic Owner is tapped out, there is no reason for you to not pay it, it's 1 mana.

I love Carolyn! She was always one of my favourite guests on Drawfee, and I loved seeing her in the various Dorkly shows. It's sad what happened to Dorkly, but I'm super happy to see her landing on her feet.

Agreed. What is nice though is that in groups where one deck is clearly an underdog, usually that person is the second to last or wins because they are not interacted with as much due to their deck being underpowered. So it still feels balanced

I think that's just the party mechanic. I... don't really like it, it seems so unstable, relying on way too many factors, and seeing it in action, even though Caroline did good, I'm not surprised her deck didn't win.

@@rb4121 It does have potential for cEDH don't underestimate the number of powerful clerics, wizards, rouges and warriors that have been printed. Like notion theive, steals people's draws, najella the blade blossom for insane token generation and extra combat steps, the tutor wizards like spell seeker and trinket and trophy mage to fetch win cons out and doomed necromancer for easy reamnination of a fatty
