Darretti and Zacama were some of my first commander decks I ever made. In the end they became so powerful for the tables I play that I dismantled both of them. I still have a soft spot for them though and I hope they play well. :)

Id like to see rukarumel getting built to name slivers. That way you can have whatever creatures you want getting the benefit that the slivers in play are giving. Could really be exploited for a bunch of deal combat damage triggers, especially if the effects care about how much damage was dealt.

Yes! The idea is to first name "rebel" with Rukarumel so your rebels can search for any creature. Search for Spark Double or a Sakashima variant. Copy Rukarumel and name "sliver"...then all your creatures benefit from the sliver buffs as well!

@@jasonr9912 that’s more steps than necessary i feel like. If you just pick slivers the first time, then you can run higher quality cards instead of the rebels.

@@connorl0204 the purpose of the rebel creature type is to be able to search for any creature in your library using the rebels who search. The deck is a toolbox deck to be able to search for Linvala or Opposition Agent or Teferi as needed in response to your opponents doing things. Close the game out with Opposition Agent + Maralen. Slivers aren't the primary focus of this deck. To your point, if I were to build Rukarumel Slivers, I'd definitely add more slivers with impactful abilities, cut all the rebels, and add a lot more card draw. Sliver Overlord would become your primary tutor. A major difference between Overlord and rebels is Overlord puts the cards in your hand instead of directly onto the battlefield. Either way would be quirky and fun to pilot, though!

The turn before, he cast a Tomik (lands on the battlefield can’t be the target of spells) and then he played Ashaya (nontoken creatures you control are Forest lands in addition). So Linvala is a Forest land in addition to her other types that could not be targeted.
