During my BT in the Greek Army, our drill Sgt.'s name could be literally translated in English as Soul child and we use to call him Sgt. Soul child the soul ripper. Later, during the reserve officers school we had a drill called Psi Pi (ΨΠ), from the Greek initials for psychological warfare. Every day before breakfast we would run around the brigade's base in combat gear. One day the trainers of the senior class would tell us that we were the best of the best, that the entire brigade was looking up to us etc. after we completed the round we would ask for a second round so that everybody would take a better look at us and we were disappointed they would not let us go for it. The next day they would shout at us how worthless we were, the worst officer candidates ever, that we had the audacity to think we could become officers and other things like that. We would barely make the round and by the end of it, we were literally dragging our feet as we were going to prepare for breakfast. It was a very interesting experience in psychological warfare training lol.

Recruit Williams joined the SRR after only four years in the marines and had a very successful time with them, very secretive unit

@@JustAnotherArmyVet they was formed in the conflict in Northern Ireland. Trained in surveillance and to live amongst the enemy undercover sometimes for months.both the sas and delta train with them for certain modules of their training.

@@JustAnotherArmyVet They are a regiment that specialises in long distance and secretive reconnaissance, they work closely with the British MI's on operations as well so MI5/MI6 etc. As well as with police forces when operating in the UK.

@@JustAnotherArmyVet In UKSF they train operators to be medics (similar to delta), in respect of chaplain no I'm guessing it was his after SF career, Ex SF are also involved in training recruits in one of the later episodes there's ether an sbs or mountain leader training the recruits survival skills (faces blurred out).

I believe that a Royal Marine can wear a mustache if they wish, but not a beard. More broadly in the Navy, you can have a full beard with the permission of the CO

@@RJStans thanks for sharing that! In the US military, you can’t have a beard unless you have a medical shaving profile. And mustaches are allowed, but they have to be neat, trim, and within certain measurements (within regulation).
