Reminds me of my state championship win. Very cold windy muddy day and I was ranked 12th in the virtual meet but I showed up that day and ran a 51 second pr and won with a 15:52. Hopefully I can win again the next two years since I’m a sophomore.

I remember being too cocky last weekend about how I would preform because it was a 6k trail but past years there wasn't much pace in the winners, but too bad all older guys joined up and made me go to the 7th spot, I think the youngest in front of me was atleast 2 years older then I am. That does make a difference when you are only 16 and they are 18
