I think memes move too fast for commercials (also movies, music videos, etc). By the time it's in circulation, it's already two meme generations behind. By the time it's done airing, the meme is so stale you could use it as a crouton

Give it five years, it'll all come back around. Styles and fads notmally do. What you think skinnies and air jordans at the time was new? Nah muh friend- just a slightly changed version of straight jeans and Addidas. Bell bottoms? Look no further than 1999 and Jncos! Soaps grind, wheelies skate, it just all comes back and people be like "Trend-eh"! I see people dress now and it is like being back in the early nineties with a few different variants. Like very few changes.

When I was 8 all I wanted for my birthday was a sham wow, like I didn’t ask for anything else for the whole year. My parents got me the dollar store brand and from what I remember it was pretty ok it was basically just an super absorbent towel. I hope this info helps on your pursuit of truth regarding the sham wow.

Omg dude I was exactly the same! I was so amazed by the sham wow when I was a kid, but when my mom bought me one for my birthday it turned out to be total letdown. Like it didn't even clean half as well as our other towels. Should have known, it has sham right in the title.

I think if I had a kid that just wanted cleaning products, I'd go whole hog and just buy them a whole flex tape-sham wow-mighty putty set. If they get bored of it, I'd just start using them. XD

I bought the previous iteration of the ShamWOW called a Magi-Cloth from a Meijer grocery. A lady was selling it the same exact way Vince did, but in a more traditional infomercial style. It does work really well and I still have two of them to this day. Don't ever put it in the dryer though as it'll get deformed.

When you said "music" ads, I thought you were gonna talk about those ringtone ads! Like the Gummy Bear song would play and say "text 800-123-4567 to get this ringtone!" Those were iconic
