I think memes move too fast for commercials (also movies, music videos, etc). By the time it's in circulation, it's already two meme generations behind. By the time it's done airing, the meme is so stale you could use it as a crouton

Nah muh friend- just a slightly changed version of straight jeans and Addidas. Bell bottoms? Look no further than 1999 and Jncos! Soaps grind, wheelies skate, it just all comes back and people be like "Trend-eh"! I see people dress now and it is like being back in the early nineties with a few different variants. Old Spice really is the last time I can remember a "major brand" really convincing me with just an ad. It was the one with Bruce Campbell JUST before these where he just walked around a rotating room in a smoking jacket talking about "If you have it, you know it. I love that they just leaned into "cool, weird ads" and it worked for them, I know I shouldn't love a brand, but in this ONE CASE I do.

I bought the previous iteration of the ShamWOW called a Magi-Cloth from a Meijer grocery. A lady was selling it the same exact way Vince did, but in a more traditional infomercial style. It does work really well and I still have two of them to this day. Don't ever put it in the dryer though as it'll get deformed.

I heard JG Wentworth as a kid long before I could tell you what a structured settlement was and that song is stuck in my head forever. If I ever get some kind of annuity in the future, I'll always know about that service. Scary effective advertising, they didn't need to write another song.

My parents bought a Shamwow, and I can confirm that it is just as incredible as advertised. They soak up so much water that they become a couple pounds heavier when at full capacity. We now own like ten of them, and we use them for everything.

Mighty putty is a 2 park epoxy. Was around long before Mighty putty and used mostly by plumbers (plumbers epoxy) as a band aid fix on cast iron pipe. JB Weld makes a 2 part epoxy you mix (syringe style) in a more liquid form. Both work really well and create a strong bond.
