Tip: if the costumer wants a very retro look, get vintage flushometers off of eBay. Keep one for yourself too, they are quite the collectors item.

What's the handicap height of the flood rim on urinals in your area ours is 17 in, that would put the height of the flushometer Supply at about 44 from the finished floor.
@ChuckBarron4 жыл бұрын
this is all existing. Handi cap bath down the hall.

What’s the name of those pliers with the rubber teeth? That would be really helpful for not damaging the finish on fixtures
@ChuckBarron5 жыл бұрын
No Bueno. They did not work well at all. Took em back as defective for sure. I have been referred to a couple different pairs. I will get links.

Why not do both stops while you had the water shut off? What happened with the water rough in ?
@ChuckBarron5 жыл бұрын
The Chrome Pieces came from 2 different branches via ups...I had half the order. Water shut off is a quick 11/2 ball valve above my head..I did not mind doing just one.

You might want to buy at blue store on Black Horse Pike these new IRWIN VISE-GRIP 10-in Plumbing Tongue And Groove Pliers. IRHT82636. The jaws are smooth. I am thinking they would be great for Sloan valves. Their self adjusting jaw feature is awesome.

@ChuckBarron5 жыл бұрын
Dan I saw some other plumbers doing the same. I may try that too.
@barneyfilm855 жыл бұрын
Funny around here it seems that most plumbers like to tape then dope so opposite of you but still both.
@johnkrim83775 жыл бұрын
You tape the threads first , then apply a little dope to stop the tape from tearing as you tighten the joint. Back in the early 60s when Teflon was starting to gain popularity when you bought some from the plumbing supply houses , the Phelps Dodge brand included a small bottle of liquid I'm fairly sure contained Teflon to swab on the tape to stop it from tearing . If your old enough you'll remember that the spools that the Teflon came on were metal, a long , long time ago in a galaxy far away LOL. 👷🏻
