Just rebuilt all my shutoff valves at work. Most rubber stops and back out springs bad and dang things didn't want to shut down all the way. Busting some of those open without snapping pipe was fun. Thanks for video Chuck!

Your sons will learn how to soldering in the plumbing school.
@ltsgarage77805 жыл бұрын
I'll bet they don't go to a plumbers school. CB is going to teach them all they'll ever need to know. Of course CB doesn't know everything. He's not that good with a torch. Which in plumbing is one of the first things you should learn.... He should send his sons off to a good plumbing trade school. When they get back. They'll both ask him on a job like this. "Dad. What the fuck are you doing ?" 😋

@@ChuckBarron I looked for Lee's soldering vids, didn't find any. Maybe on your slow days bring out the torch and put pro press away so you get more practice. Nothing worse than having to do a lot of soldering and you haven't done it in awhile. The criticism kills me. My main job is maintenance at police/jail. I own a computer business. I get hassled periodically because I don't do networking every day and I sometimes have to struggle to get certain set ups correctly. I get it though! The ones who say something are guys who do nothing but networking. Wouldn't know how to retrieve data off a bad drive or solder a chip on a board though.

Really? You can run a propress machine but you don't know how to solder? How long have you been a plumber? I must ask. Why do you wipe more flux on the fitting after its started to cool down? As far as the chrome esq. Left on the pipe that you had such a hard time removing. The tile guys figured the plumber that was coming in next knew what they were doing. Next time.Take a chisel and split it right down one side. They come right off. They come off much faster than the way you did it. (Time is money) You're progressing in your plumbing field by buying a no tooth flat jaw pipe wrench? Don't you own a 12 inch crescent wrench? They work much better & are easier to operate because the handle is longer. I haven't pulled my flat jaw out of its drawer in 20 years. But I have one. (I don't know why) Nice job CB for a beginner. Watch a video on soldering. You should move your torch around more when heating up your fittings. By leaving your torch on just the left side like you did at first. You cook your flux out. Which creates a spot that your solder will not flow properly. I know. You saw a good solder joint at the edges. But you haven't a clue what the center of the joint looks like after so much heat in one spot. I'm just amazed the more I watch CB
@ChuckBarron5 жыл бұрын
Lee your a wealth of knowledge and compliments I don't know where to begin. I may and I am gonna sleep on this one. lol

oh General Lee, Please make a video of soldering....or Lets do a collab together....pretty please. It will be fun for sure.....West is best right?
@ltsgarage77805 жыл бұрын
@@ChuckBarron cb. I asked a simple question about why you wipe your fittings with flux after they are cooling? The part about heating just one side hot enough to melt solder before moving your heat. Is like beginners school. You should know better. But I see you pass right over this. It's ok Chuck just ignore the parts you can't explain. Or just don't know. As far as me making videos. People would still watch yours an believe you know what you are doing. That's the crime. My videos wouldn't replace yours.

@@ChuckBarron you told me 25 years?? Try a plumbing school. Not some u-tube school. Never put flux back onto a hot pipe or fitting. In a trade you should know all the skills. Not just use one because you can't master the other. You're the one that called yourself a "Master" plumber.
