No.... The "dump" was naked short selling to suppress the prices. I've watched the live gold ETF trades for the past 12 years every day. NEVER has there been this kind of volume in trades. There were 54 tons traded in a 4 minute period April 12. There is arbitrage going on between the west and the east and all this will have to once there is no more physical to deliver

Does anyone in here know how a new investor, from Canada, invest with Adrian Day's Euro Pacific gold fund. I don't think, as a Canadian, that I can just sign up via Euro Pacific's website cuz Im not from the US. Im heavily invested in physical metals but now I would like to invest in gold mining stocks - just not sure how.
@CommodityCulture5 ай бұрын
I don't think you can hire them to manage your money as a non-US citizen, but I believe you can buy their mutual funds through a broker. That being said, not investment advice, but the GDX ETF is one of the better ways to get access to the whole gold mining sector without taking on as much risk as speculating on individual stocks.

Bear case for gold: technology is further developed than the public knows or even suspects. The available supply of rare earth elements is no longer limited to conventional mining activity on Earth. End game: a CBDC can be pegged to whatever gold price the government desires.
@markokurtovic17825 ай бұрын

@@markokurtovic1782 Advances in technology have created a financial paradigm shift. If high ore could be extracted in a low gravity environment and tele~transported to planet earth, would that affect the value of rare earth elements? Obviously you know nothing of the Nazi space program and possibilities afforded by Inter dimensional physics Expect silver to again trade below $10 an ounce. Technology is more deflationary than most everyone suspect. You saw what happened to the price of diamonds when the possibility of their artificial creation became public known?

There is divergence between the marketplace and the central banks' views of gold. The marketplace has become secondary, in part because the central banks are forcing delivery from Comex. The general public is busy buying NVDA and BTC and will gain interest when gold hits $3,000. As far as China, they are a military threat, but their economy is large only because of their large population. Communism and intervention can't compete with more free-market approaches, so if America falls, it will be because we imitated the Chinese and adopted left-wing, Democratic Party policies. Per capita GDP in China is much lower than in the capitalist countries. China is about as rich as Mexico and Thailand, and they will never be as innovative as we are. They are a threat, much like Iran and North Korea. 71 Mexico $21,512 $11,091 104% 72 China $21,476 $12,598 104% 73 Thailand $20,672 $6,909 100%
