Well I mean, you're just objectively wrong. You can have your opinion, but to say the creation of Hip Hop and it's essence is not original, is wrong. Because that's like saying Rock, Indie, Metal, Blues, Folk, and Country isn't original. Because all of those genres take things from each other and expand upon it. That's music in itself. And regarding the "regionality" thing, that's not what he was saying literally at all and you completely misinterpreted what he said.

yes, the elements for creating great HH do not have to be original elements from the creator, it’s the creator’s innate legitimate skill at reworking those elements that makes the ultimate creation so incredible, in ways the original work may have NEVER seen possible. that’s the beauty of HH, yes yes yall!
