Your videos are really clear and to the point. As one of your “experienced golfers” and newer to the game, I find the suggestions to be very helpful! Thanks for the easy-going approach to this fun sport 👍🏻

Hi from the UK Todd. Another great video, reiterating the basics. I draw my driver most of the time with a in to out club path, but my face control can let me down, usually pushing it, but an occasional hook. Work in progress! Thanks for the great content.

Thank you for sharing these great tip! These will help me become a little better with the driver and more consistent. Nothing worse than seeing that wide open fairway in front of me and then slice the ball into the tree line or deep rough on the right. Thank you !! Muse

Thanks for a clear simple lesson. My chipping is at best variable but 7 or 8 iron depending on distance to the hole is more reliable.

Great tips Todd would also add a wide arc on the backswing to avoid picking up the club resulting in a swing with too much hands/ arms which results in a narrow backswing and not maintaining the triangle . Greetings from 🇬🇧.
@USGOLFTVshow2 жыл бұрын
Good question, not always. Too much hands at the bottom of swing is typically a result of the clubface being out of position. Most golfers have the face open which requires them to "flip" at the bottom. Make sense?

@@USGOLFTVshow Thanks Todd makes sense!

Thanks Coach for such a wonderful video. As I've mentioned before, I don't use a driver, I use a 5W. I'm hitting more fairways with the 5W compared to when I had a driver. Saying this, my Pro and I have discussed getting one because it will aid me more. I've watched your videos breaking 80 and being a scratch golfer, and both you mentioned driver. Today I played a Par 70 off the white tees and broke 80, I got 79 for the 1st time afterplayingfor a consistent 5 years. Great yes but with a driver and my irons it will become easier.

When I do this tilting away from the target and trying to hit up on the golf ball the club either hits the ground behind the ball or hits the bottom part of the clubface when I hold this angle. I use a 14 degree driver. Do I still need to tilt shoulders and hit up? I have better luck with more level shoulders and not trying to swing up. Thanks

Make sure you are getting your weight into the lead foot at the finish. This will help. We dive deep into this and other swing concepts in our new book www.badliegolfbook.com/

All good tips on hitting driver Todd! The problem I have with the driver is that I find the teed ball creeping back in its position. Then I will hit a "drop kick" type of shot off of the tee since I try to hit up on the ball. Another problem is the "over the top" swing when my left elbow gets away from my side. When any of the aforementioned happens, I immediately know what went wrong!

You got this. Keep that ball a little forward in the stance.

These were all good reminders. I place the ball exactly where you do-in line with my left heel. My drives have become more consistent but I still have a slice on two out of ten drives. Help!

if you aim right for the draw do you swing on the new toe line or the original target line?

Great video and content as always , I played 18 yesterday and reduced my score to 105 down from 116 last outing , my chipping was better still not consistent , putting improved but the oddest thing I pulled my shots with the driver , woods and irons sharply to the right , I’m a Lefthanded golfer , I’ve never hit like that any ideas 🤷♂️ Thanks Todd 👍👍🏌️♂️

I have the tendency to hating the ball on the heel of my driver. How do I correct this?
@USGOLFTVshow2 жыл бұрын
It could be a variety of causes. I would first start with distance from the ball and make sure you are not standing too far away.
@ajobis18812 жыл бұрын
So dropping the shoulder, do you think that may help with topping the ball?
@USGOLFTVshow2 жыл бұрын
If the trail shoulder drops too early in the downswing it can cause the bottom of the swing to work backwards and as a result too the ball. Good question
@ShooterSanoff2 жыл бұрын
I can tell you now that most people have a wide stance and have the ball very far forward in the stance..

Todd, your width for a driver is too narrow! To determine driver width. You do not use your feet. You use the width of your heels.
@USGOLFTVshow2 жыл бұрын
Jeff, the stance width can vary from player to player based on their swing style and flexibility. We use the reference point of the feet as it is easier for golfers to see. Appreciate you posting and your perspective....
