adrian a wee tip for ya, if you take the deck off and pressure wash it let it dry and paint it with old engine oil, will protect the deck batter than sealing any crap. look after grass machinery for a landscaping firm

I had the rider 28h atco with briggs and Stratton engine was bit difficult because engine was under the seat. I used run it every few weeks in winter to charge and clean the fuel. I’m stuck with 30inch gate just sold 8years old not serviced still running £500 at end of season could have sold several times… just bought stiga 372e swift with lithium power. Those riders look difficult to service at home

The thing is Adrian, and this is apt for this time of year. The SPICE of life is what keeps any relationship alive. If you keep doing the same things day after day, after day, then it becomes stagnant and boring. Showing different content is just what makes your channel more interesting, a cut above the rest. Please, don't ever change that.🥺 Take your girls, for example. Involving them in your work from time to time is good for three reasons.The first reason is that they get to spend time with their dad, priceless. The second reason is that they get to learn different things, things that most girls of their age probably would never learn. It's also priceless. And the last reason is, I forgot. Second comment should finish video first lol……..I sharpened my first blade years ago went a bit daft on first side fitted it had remove and balance found it better do on a knife blade… I’ve no welder but with I had before I was too old lol they are pennies now compared to 40years ago … I repaired with plywood works okay 😊

My B&S engine filled up with petrol when stored over winter. It emptied most of the fuel tank into the oil. By fitting a fuel cut off it soon fixed it until the engine seized a year late!

I love watching the videos where you are doing maintenance or fixing things. It reminds me of when I was little and a Mr. Murphy lived 2 houses down from us. He used to repair lawn mowers in a tiny shop next to a one horse stall. I would go down and he would put me on a high stool so I could watch. He always had a stogie that he was chewing on. He also had a garden and since he grew turnips for the greens, he would let me go dig up turnips which I would take home for Mom to cook. I didn't like them all that much to be honest, but there was something about digging something up from the dirt and feeding it to the family that was very satisfying. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and the best year of all in 2024.

This ride on mower definitely doesn’t mulch the grass because it doesn’t have any mulching kit with it.

That’s true because not all ride on mowers can mulch grass unless you have a mulching kit to prevent the grass from going into the bag.

And some diesel ride on mowers like the John Deeres don’t even have bags on them at all meaning that they only mulch the grass instead.

The new trick is to put a tank of Aspen fuel in last cut of season, or if not using a lot of fuel,use Aspen all year round, keeps fresh for up to 3 yrs. And mowers always start in spring. I service mowers and using Aspen has saved a lot of mowers. And mowers can't use the E10 fuel at all, it destroys the fuel system . Only E5 in small engines if keeping it fresh. About 3 weeks maximum.

Hi Adrian and a happy Christmas to you all. Dont forget to check Valve clearances with each service. These intek ohv are known to commonly go out of spec and if lucky just get hard starting but more often they can drop a valve and destroy themselves. Briggs service say to reset with each service .003" intake .005"exhaust. 👍👍👍
