@JerryPanandCars the only thing I'm having trouble with is the radio (dab) haven't tried fm and probably won't bother but the dab may work for 1 min then cut out...if I'm using media music there's never an issue only with dab.any experiences??

Thanks for all the videos and info. I have two questions: 1. When does a new ZS EV get its first service? I thought after the first 1000km and then 35k km but it seems to me only 35k km? 2. Radio is on and my phone (Android) is connected to Bluetooth. Once I receive a notification e.g. Txt, Email etc. the radio switches to BT Music and I have to click on the screen to go back to the radio. Please note this doesn't happen with an iPhone so it isn't the BT technology. I do have an older phone (Samsung A12), not sure if it makes a difference? I also can't answer a call - hands free while it is connected to BT. However, Android Auto works fine.

Thanks for the comment. 1. New Zealand MG ZS EV's service interval is 2 years or 40k whichever comes first. Check with your local dealer to confirm if you are not in NZ. 2. It is an annoying thing a few clients have said. There is no fix currently. Maybe MG will get a software update later on.

@@hethacopland3713 I know what you mean! The arrows next to BT music are extremely small and then you click on BT music instead.... The only way around this for me at the moment is to switch BT off, or to turn off all notifications on my phone. I always thought a function of BT was to use it for hands free call answering......

In Trinidad & Tobago/Caribbean my dealer has asked that the vehicle be serviced/inspected at every 6 months (or) 10,000kms < whichever were to occur earlier. It was also mentioned that though there is no engine oil, the transmission oil needs to be changed at 80,000Kms and every 80,000kms. The cost of inspection/service is 600TT$/90US$ every instance. The warranty on battery is 150,000kms (or) 7 years whichever happens first. The warranty on rest of the car is 4 years in all. We are told that the MG battery has an average life of 12 years but should last more than that!. 🙂

Hey Jerry, Thanks for the QnA videos. These are super helpful! 👍Qn. I've driven Toyota, Kia, Hyundai and some will auto-lock all doors once you start moving faster than walking / jogging pace (a safety feature to prevent outsiders entering the car mid-trip). Does the MG ZS EV do this?

I have a MG ZS EV 2023 and the 51kwhr battery with a declared range of 330kms for full charge. I am now hearing that a few days ago, MG released a newer version of ZS EV with ADAS2 in India with the same 51kwhr battery but range of >400kms per full charge!. Is this a fact?. How is it possible?. Thank You.

India uses ARAI method. The claimed range by ARAI is 461km for the 51kWh battery. The WLTP range is 320kms. The real world range im getting is 350-380kms per charge

Notice that this electric vehicle (EV) does not regenerate power when the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is on, so it will rely on using the brakes downhill. This is the most inefficient and potentially dangerous method of maintaining speed.

@@_xavi_ why would you use ACC if you drive on 20 miles downhill? A standard ICE vehicle will use similar ACC brake system like the ZS EV. Can I assume all ICE cars are dangerous?

@@JerryPanandCars There are highways that go up to the top of the mountain and then descend and go on. These are wide 3-lane highways where the ascent can be 20 miles and the descent another 20 miles. In a combustion car, the engine brake maintains the speed of the car. Obviously, if the car accelerates due to inertia, the brakes must be applied, but the engine brake is always active. If the ACC of the ZS doesn't use regeneration, it's like driving an ICE car in neutral and using brakes to slow down for the entire 20-mile stretch to maintain speed. It's not an issue of inefficiency, it's a dangerous problem that can lead to fatalities.

@@_xavi_ so let’s say another EV like Nissan Leaf, Opel Mokka E or even Kia Niro EV. If you engage ACC on these vehicles without selecting regen brake mode, they will NOT use regen braking on ACC at all. In that case, can you also call all these vehicles dangerous? Your scenario described an extreme condition in an extreme driving style. If the driver of that vehicle knows he/she is facing 20 miles descent, why would you use ACC with no regen all 20 miles. If he/she does this, any of these EVs will have brake failure potential in your assumption, should he/she blame the vehicle or him/her self?
