Girl, this video is PERFECT. I had absolutely no idea about any of this before I had my daughter. And like you, i was like “oh I’m a nurse dealing with new moms all the time, this will be fine”, IT WAS NOT FINE. Thanks for making us all feel less alone as I’m sure we’ve all experienced it, since your right, nobody talks about this stuff. And the bad definitely is overwhelming for awhile. Knowing that is ok and normal would have been so helpful!

I know this is an old post but it popped up in my feed. I am 3 days post partum. Just got home with my baby boy. I've had already 3 meltdowns.. I'm exhausted and in pain.. delivered vaginally and I tore.. I'm a nurse I knew this could happen but I feel like my lady parts were shredded. I did not expect the pain. Everything else also hurts like a mf..I thought the actual pregnancy was hard. Post partum really sucking so far. I have help.. my husband and mother. But I still feel overwhelmed. And..The breast feeding...I'm just hoping things get better cuz I literally question why the hell I did this to myself..after 7 tr infertility and multiple IVF treatments...this is what I've been waiting for..I love my little nugget. Hes perfect. I just didnt expect the reality of it all...just.needed to vent all that..

Im pregnant and it feels like my husband and other family members seem more bonded and excited about my baby than me.. if I feel like I'm not bonding with my baby yet at 19 weeks, could that be PMADS?

Mandy Irby Thank you for taking the time to answer. I really appreciate that. No, I haven't felt baby move yet. I have an anterior placenta so I was told it could take a bit longer. But I do think that would help make it more real. I've waited 9 years for this baby, because of infertility. We got pregnant thru IVF, so it's a lot of very strong and I guess complicated emotions. But thank you for the great advice. I have started reading books to baby in the morning. Hopefully I'll be able to feel that love grow with time. Keep up the great work/videos!

Awesome video! Very accurate! No one tells you about, “we have to massage your fundus”, or that you may have large blood clots come out of your body, or that exhaustion can create hallucinations! Thank you for being open and honest! We need so much more of this. We are all different and need more information and help than we realize!😁💜🙏🏻

That you can tear not only near your perinium but your labia. My inner labia ripped and tore into pieces, some pieces ripped right off. I was in pain and agony for months. Hurt for a year. after two years I could finally have sex again but 15 years later I never enjoyed it again as it ripped right up towards my clitoris. I cant wear jeans. Feeling foreign in your body. Hating your body. I am pregnant again and terrifed

I can relate to you. I tear in my inner labia and 3 years later I feel pain on the same area on and off. Just now I feel a little confident around sex and the idea of another pregnancy terrified me.

@@beatricebodre7963 I will tell you...I just had another baby, 15 years apart and I was terrified to tear again. Miraculously I didn't! But I swear it's because I took courses and told the hospital staff to F off and refuse to lay on my back and squatted.
