I came back here to say THANK YOU. This video among many of yours has helped me give birth Naturally without any pain medications AT ALL. Praise God!! To all mommas who’ll deliver soon, trust me it is possible to have natural birth with just doing the Breathing techniques. Doing it consciously and purposefully made me ride every painful contractions as they come. next thing I know I’m 8cm dilated when we came to the hospital (I had to have my bag of waters ruptured by my OBGYN in the hospital). I’m a FTM I thought I had to wait till my waters broke before I should go. I was literally watching this video in the labor room to refresh my memory while I waited to reach 10cm and just doing the Destressor breathing technique. BREATHING IS KEY!

I watched your video a week before giving birth and on the day I went into labour. Baby was born in the bath at the birthing unit in under 5 minutes last week. I used all your breathing techniques and 'breathed' my baby out. It felt like she was coming out on her own and I just needed to help her along. My first baby I remember making a bit of a noise when pushing that it scared my partner haha. But with this time round as I focused on my breathing, I hardly made a sound at all and I was soooo much calmer. I remember once she came out I looked to my partner and said, "I did it!!!". Not just because I gave birth but because I used your breathing techniques and I couldn't believe I remembered what to do and just how it actually worked! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us mama's xo

I had to come back to this video and let you know that because of you and this video, I was able to have the natural, epidural free birth I wanted 3mths ago. I had pitocin and an epidural with my first. I had a reaction to the epidural and long story short, wasn’t able to walk without my leg giving out on me for about 3mths. I didn’t want the possibility of going through that all over again now with a toddler to care for, too. While I was in labor this time around, I literally typed in how to breathe when in labor (lol) and clicked on your video. I watched and did exactly what you instructed the entire time. I went into the hospital breathing as you instructed, blocking out all noise around me and was just focusing. Within 30min of arriving, I delivered. When I was in transition, I wanted to get the epidural but the doctor felt I was doing great and told me to continue breathing as I was. Thank you so much, you are amazing! I will definitely be suggesting your video for any pregnant woman I come across! Xo

Thank you so much for the tips and especially the breathing techniques. I was able to successfully labor at home doing the breathing, headed to hospital once I felt that the contractions got stronger especially knowing I was already 4cm and 50% effaced. Once I got to hospital I was already 6-7 cm and 100% effaced. I still kept focusing on my breathing and only that. Two hours later with no pain medication/pitocin I had a baby boy naturally. Good luck to everyone especially with this Covid19 pandemic, just focus on the positive and breathing and in no time you will have your baby in chest

I was so scared for labor but Bridget's videos all prepared me so well and i went in for induction so confident that i could do this. They induced me at 10PM and i gave birth at 12pm the next day. The midwives said that it was the shortest and fastest and smoothest delivery they experienced in a long time. They even called it the magical delivery. I had some good food and good sleep before going to sleep after the induction then i woke up at 3am with pains that kept intensifying but I focussed on breathing techniques and yoga ball movements. It really worked, i was so focussed of these things that i forgot paun relief things even existed. By the time I arrived at the hospital, the nurses were shocked (and I was too!) that I made it that far without coming in. I also used your breathing techniques in order to relax more. There was a period of my labor where I stalled for 10 hours and no progress was made. I was an hour away from getting a c-section. During those long, stressful 10 hours I concentrated on my breathing and calming down. A true miracle happened in that last hour that I finally dilated enough and was able to deliver my baby girl the way I wanted. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!

Can’t recommend this video highly enough. I’m a first time mom and literally breathed my way through labour with the help of one shot of pethidine which I don’t even think made much of a difference. The midwife was so impressed and couldn’t believe I used just my breathing to get through a fairly fast and intense labour. My midwife was actually bored because I didn’t need her help. Women’s bodies are made to do incredible things and we just have to trust them.

Hey Bridget! I just wanted to leave a comment thanking you for your KZbin channel and all your valuable information! My wife and I watched quite a few of your videos in preparation for her labor, especially the breathing technique ones and they worked amazingly. My wife unexpectedly went into labor during week 37 of her pregnancy (which could have been in part to her doing your birth ball exercises 🤔😂) but I was able to be with her and help coach her with her breathing through out labor because we had watched your videos together!! I even found myself saying “remember what Bridget said about breathing” while mimicking your techniques throughout her process!! 😅🤣 She had a natural birth with extremely minimal tearing and did NOT need an epidural during labor! (This was literally 3 days ago!) While I know everyone’s pregnancy and labor is different, I just wanted to thank you again because the techniques really really worked for us! So even though I’m a “Papa” lol I just wanted to thank you again for your channel and information and would recommend it to anyone reading the comments or wondering if it these techniques actually work!

And to add my second delivery following all breathing techniques was super fast and less painful that just went to check if it's true labour pain and doctor shocked and took me directly to labour room that I was 7cm dilated already😂 less than a hour i delivered my baby. When ever I got pain just followed her breathing techniques which ease pain also😀

Wanted to thank you Bridget for all these wonderful videos. I watched all your videos leading up to the birth of my son and it went wonderfully! My water broke spontaneously on April 12, 2021 at 3:30PM and my son was born on April 13th at 8:30AM. I was pain free all the way through and I pushed him out using the "J" breath and making vowel sounds! It was awesome! Thanks again!

Just delivered 3 days ago and your video was a life saver. It helped me to unmedicated labor and delivery something I thought I could not do after experiencing labor twice before and opting for an epidural. I watched your video multiple times throughout my pregnancy so in labor your techniques came naturally. Though labor is tough, knowing how to breath correctly is a game changer to get you through mentally and physically. Thank You!!!!

Honest opinion?? I did these techniques, and it actually helped me not until I reached 7-8cm. I just couldnt bear the pain anymore, i was just silently screaming as my nursing attendant said I shouldnt scream loudly cause it wouldnt help me with the pain. But yeah, thanks for these techniques, I somewhat got to manage the labor pain.

Just had the most Amazing healing natural delivery because of this video! My first labour was very traumatic, bad tearing used gas which made me ill, weak and not present at all. I was very nervous leading upto the labour of my son born last week. Im very thankful i came across your video the night before labour. I purely concentrated on my breathing using the three diffrent techniques appropriately as i progressed. Midwifes referred to me as a zen goddess😂. Before i knew it he had entered the world and i was present for it all. Thankyou for providing me with the tools to be completly controlled, confident, calm and present to see baby boy enter the world.

Unfortunately, I am at hospital now getting induced due to low amniotic fluid. I am having contractions every 3 min. Please pray for baby, Willow! Going to try the breathing techniques.

So I did your techniques on Saturday. My daughter was born healthy with no complications. The breathing techniques helped me get through my 18 hour labor and 49 minutes of pushing. Though I did tear, it was a mild grade 2. The doctor said my breathing really helped reduce the tear. Thank you for all the information you provided!

I want to say a huge thank you for your video! I had my daughter on 8/8/22. I got to 9cms without medication simply with the breathing techniques. I did get the epidural right at the end to get through pushing. Honestly labor pains were nowhere near what I thought they would be. But I can't stress the importance of not focusing on the pain itself. Breathe properly, envision something. Mine was waves. I imagined every contraction was a wave crashing on the beach. I'd breathe in the wave through my nose, fill my diaphragm and breath out through my mouth blowing the wave away. Worked like a charm! I'd do it again, no question!

Hi all, I saw this video couple of days ago and tried to remember these techniques for my coming birth. I went the other day for check up and doctors told me they will induce me urgently, baby needed to come out. I was using this breether technique and I couldn't believe how much it helped! I do not know why I haven't used this my whole life when I was having period cramps, and bad one cause it really really helps. Baby is born healthy, little early but he is gonna be ok. Good luck to all mamas😊❤

I have been watching your videos throughout my pregnancy. This was my first baby. With your breathing techniques I managed to have the natural hospital birth I wanted! It was 25 long intense hours of labor after my water broke but i delivered a beautiful healthy baby boy on Dec.28th,2019 💙 thank you so so much for making your videos to help mama's like me! Especially ones that do not have a midwife/doula helping them through. I truly appreciate you!

I gave birth 2 w ago and used these techniques. Thanks to your video I was able to proceed with the labor 'pretty fast' for a first timer and even the hospital staff gave me compliments on my breathing. Only the last hour and a half (pushing stage) was really awfull and I needed a reminder from the staff to breath correctly, but the first stage was very much bearable and it helped me to get the baby where it needed to go. ❤

I had my baby a couple weeks ago and without any previous research or reading, I got through my whole labour (vaginal, unmedicated, at home) by counting my breaths. A contraction was ten inhales and ten exhales, so I was counting to 20 with each one. The controlled breathing really reminded me of how I controlled my breathing when I was really into running and training for serious racing. This counting really helped me keep my breathing even and get through each contraction. Even during transition when I naturally wanted to breathe quickly, I was able to slow my breathing down just by counting. So now, two weeks later, I’m doing so research to see if anyone else experienced similar during their labour.

I was in labour for 6 hrs and son came out in 8min after I started pushing. Healthy bouncing baby boy (8lbs) born into May 12, 2020. Thanks for asking and for congratulations.
