Common Poorwill Returns to the Wild

This Common Poorwill is back in the wild after recovering from a wing injury and other trauma sustained after possibly being attacked by a cat. Lead Wildlife Veterinarian Dr. Krystal Woo and her team returned this nocturnal bird on the San Pablo Dam trailhead on Nov. 16.

So wonderful to see, people need to keep there cats inside because they'll still go after birds even on a full tummy, I have 12 outside homeless cats that were part of a trap and release program and they go after birds all the time I've seen a cat I call Luca jump over seven feet high and slap a bird with one paw than snatch the bird with the other putting it in its mouth but thankfully it got away after I grabbed Luca, I put the the feeder up over ten feet now, so please keep feeders high and cats indoors.my daughter and I have taken a few birds and animals to your wonderful hospital over the years everyone there are so nice, HAPPY HOLIDAYS
