Thanks for watching my new communication skills for workplace success video! Let me know what your biggest take-away was. Cheers!

I love this video! It seems that too many people are trying to multi task and are not really listening. Video calls are much better that just audio.
@AdrianaGirdler4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Elizabeth! I completely agree that video calls are better than audio. It's so easy to get distracted and I think we are more inclined to try and multi task when on a call. Video calls force you to remain present and engaged in the conversation. Thanks for watching, cheers!

I agree with so many of the people who have already commented - technology really is distracting. When I'm in meetings and just generally out in public, people responding to what's happening on their phones is the biggest distraction to engagement. If everyone had to put their phones/computers away, we would be talking with each other much more!

Hi Jessie, thanks so much for watching. It's amazing to see how dependent we have become on technology. Conversations aren't what they used to be but when we do put away the distractions it's amazing what can get done! Cheers!

I work in the online space I definitely can't read body language there but, I can definitely implement listening! Even though I'm the boss I know how important it is to listen to my team members! I definitely believe in over communicating. Doesn't hurt to repeat important information.

I am never misunderstood ! :-). Sarcasm is a big communication problem if the other person doesn't understand Sarcasm. Sir Richard Branson Speaks Sarcasm . My 12 yo is great at asking questions. A little annoying !
