Loved the "Limit Judgements" because I think that is one big block to listening properly. Everyone has their own back story so you just need to listen and not judge especially if you don't agree. Thanks for the great tips.

So I have a listening tip for the easily distracted. I have ADHD and am talkative and I am the WORST listener. I've been reading ettiquite books, and one of the best techniques I've ever heard for listening is asking a what question, a why question, a how question, and finally compliment them. Then cycle with a what question and so on. Before, I always found myself having "squirrel moments" and derailing conversations with personal stories. With this, I listen very well because I'm rapid fire trying to find a good question and I remember more because I'm looking for details to ask about. It's amazing, and you can always naturally end the conversation after the compliment.

I must confess, I am the worst sometimes at actually listening. Especially, on long zoom calls or presentations, I just can't focus. Thank goodness I am self-employed and can largely avoid these situations.

It's hard to have a lack of focus, and I tend to get distracted with your dog and pandas.
