Hey Jeff, I recently made a Jank deck with Capridor + lots of burn / white damage that can get busted sometimes as damage is a pretty cheap way to give counters to Capridor + evades opponents burn spells

A variation of this deck that I brainstormed as soon as I saw this stuff went along the lines of "huh. A bunch of these new Spirits and related cards are also Clerics. And they have pretty decent toughness. Righteous Valkyrie??" I'm surprised no one has been talking about this sooner.

Nice! I've been wanting to craft Hofri for use in a Spirits deck. I could also see this being made into a Mardu deck and adding Nightmare Shepherd as insurance for Hofri in case it itself dies.

I've had luck pairing hofri with afterlife creatures in a mardu deck

Honestly Throne of Eldraine cannot rotate out early enough. Feels like it’s been around forever. Edit - I had no idea when I wrote that it was almost identical to MTG Jeff’s comment. Glad I’m not alone!

Been playing around with a Lorehold spirits deck and it’s cool, but really struggles with removal. Rip Apart and SA are great early game but that’s about it. Could run Soul Sear but like RA’s artifact/enchant option

Maskwood seems best in Boros especially now with Spirit support on top of the already good doggie human knights. At least as far as standard is concerned. Historic... Risen Reef is a strong contender
