Hm I notice people tend to overestimate Gale's boundaries. With normal tadpole, yeah he's okay with it. Mostly cause at that point we know the artefact protect us. But even he has to be persuaded to eat the astral tadpole. And if you fail you will lose his approval. Gale maybe desperate, but he's not as crazy as people think.

This battle was very disappointing for my group. I used the sword that compels to duel and for some weird reason all they did was melee attack. That was it. No skills. No action surge, nothing really. It was just normal combat. Sure, there were those Shadow things or whatever the heck you were calling them but they didn't really pose a threat
