No joke, I just had that happen to me in CoH. Freaking goliath gets past my defenses and leaves me terrified, then it shows up in my base and drives me into full panic mode, only for it to turn around and blow up one of my MG emplacements, leaving me thinking "Huh? Oookay, not complaing, but that was very unusual."

I love that map. Its my favorite one.. I always play as the US aand.. my first move is to always rush to the bridges not forgetting about the footbridge in the SW corner. I'll set up barbed wires and tank traps then i'll choose the infantry company so i could build .105 howitzers. Pound them with artillery and troops will push after softening enemy positions.

The AI in this game is almost depressing. They pick a random preset build and thats all they go for. THe trick to winning is simply to outlast their inital onslaught. After the first, maybe 20 minutes, the AI goes into hibernation mode and basically its mop up and ez street from there. Currently in my own mod for COH, the AI LOVE to pick the Ranger spam.....and thats all they build......1 random ranger squad every couple of minutes, against my ever increasing defense line of 88s, Quad 38s, Tanks and the works.......ofc when the AI does play, they are quite savage and its fun, but getting them to choose the 'lets actually play and make this a battle' mode seems to be real hit or miss.... The AI paratrooper is by far the most annoying, cuz yeah, AT gun spam, blowing up all my defenses from beyond the void and there isnt shit I can usually do about it, without sacrificing a squad. Damn, that bit with the stug blowing up the bridge you were rigging...that was funny shit. And AT guns are invincible cuz by default, there is like a 10% chance to hit them with guns....you gotta mortar them or snipe them lol...
