I agree. I almost fell for the "trendy" bandwagon of the Sig P365 myself. Then I handled it enough to realize that the G26 is in fact THE smallest you should ever go with a 9mm, if you still want the great shootability that almost makes it feel like a full size though it is still a very small package. We have reached the point of diminishing returns when it comes to making 9mm pistols smaller and smaller. Seriously, the P365 does not conceal better than a G26. The 26 dissapears in the waistband under an untucked shirt. Do you feel it more due to it being a bit heavier and a thicker? Yes. But those are precisely the two things that make it shoot almost exactly the same as a Glock 19 or 17. My vote is for the G26.

I've had a Glock 26 and honestly think it's terrible for a carry gun, For MY needs. Too heavy and blocky, only 10rds and no picky grip. Out the box it's not great but i Glock will almost always go bang. Luckily it's very modular with lots of aftermarket support, and love it as a range toy, but hated it as carry tool. Now I just throw on my Sig and completely forget it's even there. And with practice, shoots just as good as any pistol with red dot

I always go back to my 26 as a small gun. I primarily carry a 19, so mag interchangeability makes the 19 and 26 the best combo for my needs.

I love my 26 for conceal carry. I have my 19 for home but my 26 is my every day carry. Shoots like the 19 but the shorter barrel makes it so much more comfortable when in a seated position. Great video, thanks.

Got a 365 and carried it for about a year; now carry the G26 Gen 5. Bought the 26 about 3 months ago and I am hands down more comfortable with it. The Sig is a nice gun and all but I shoot better with and feel more confident with the Glock. The 26 is a little harder to conceal but switched to appendix carry and that eliminated the printing I had at the 4 o’clock with summer/tshirt carry. I wasn’t a Glock fanboy but am now; love the fact that all of their firearms function the same and have similar ergonomics. I can pick up a 19, 43, 42, 27, whatever, and know how the weapon works and how to shoot it well. What’s even better is the fact I can use a 19 mag in it if I need the extra rounds. So, between the two, 26 all the way.

Man I've carried my gen4 glock 26 for 7 years. I'm debating trying the 365. Just for the width. But I also know if shtf there's way more glock mags to be acquired. I'm torn. I love glock and sig. But glock just seems to always work.

For me, the G26 along with the G19 (maintaining the same generation between the two) are the most versatile pair on the market. I do carry both and the grip length between them gives me great ability depending on my dress. Both are highly concealable. A two finger grip on the G26 is easily trainable and not a deterrent to my choice. Using an Xgrip on my G19 magazine gives me a 15+1 capacity on my G26 with the same length of a G19. So if I can and will carry the G19, I can also carry the G26 extended. Parts are interchangeable if needed and the 4” G19 barrel runs in the G26, no issues. The weight and the girth of the platforms, compared to the lighter and slimmer girth of the 43 or 43x, gives me great repeatable shot control using the same cartridge 9mm. The ergonomics between the G26 and G19 are slightly different, however shooting one your training on both. New shooters should rent and shoot many different platforms prior to focusing on any platform. What feels good at the store counter is not as expected on the range with an actual shot. I do love the Glock platforms, but not all work for me, as the lighter slimmer new platforms. If, for some reason, I do need smaller, it’s the G42 for shot control.

I rented and loved shooting the P365. Very easy shooter and accurate, but I went Gen5 26 because I've much invested in G17 mags I can swap in. Mags in various capacity of 10, 12, 15 w/ G19 mag+ x-grip feels great. Carrying a Gen2 G17 mag as backup (from '92! How awesome is that? In a Gen 5) seems like a no-brainer. Accuracy for the G26 is not far off from the P365, for me.

A gen 3 g26 with a urethane Pachmayer sleeve is my EDC. Pearce +2 mag extenders. Perfect combo of size and capacity.

I looked at both guns but the Sig P365 was the better gun right out of the box. Glocks are like Lego sets that need to be upgraded by junking the awful plastic sights and crappy trigger right after you buy one. The Sig had great night sights and an excellent trigger without making any changes. After 2 years I modified the 10 and 12 round mags with plus 2 kits from Magguts Inc. So they are now 12 and 14 round mags with the changes to factory mags. I found the Sig to be more accurate than my old Springfield XDS.

The wider Glock grip makes shooting easy. Added a sleeve to make it a great fit. Still rocking mine. Shoots like a Glock 19. The ability to scale up to a fun stick is a plus that makes it a standout. And my Extar also uses Glock Mags.

I own the p365xl and like it a lot, but I have 2 friends whose 365s broke already and now I'm a bit insecure with my purchase. I've worked law enforcement for 11 years and can't remember a time when one of our glocks went down.

The first P365’s released had some reliability issues with breaking, but from what I’ve heard the modern generation of P365’s are nearly indestructible, similar to the Glock 26. Do you know when they bought their sigs by any chance?

For comfort I like my Shield 9 or Shield 45 , for a more sketchy environment I like my G 27 with a +2 base and a G 22 spare mag. Good comparison vid , I don't currently own any Sig's and really don't plan on getting any unless it would be a p226 or larger , I am perfectly happy with my Glock's & S&W M&P's.

I’d say Glock 26 since the length difference will help offset extended mags with regards to ccw holstering. Also, I do not know Sig at all but I do know that all double stack Glock mags will work on this gun (10,12,15,17…..)

I don't even own a Glock these days, but I had two G26 pistols and a G33, and I agree with everything you said. If I can find a frying pan Glock Gen4, I'll buy it. My Gen4's finish was horrible and I don't like the Gen5 ambi slide stop because it gets in my way. That said, I don't trust the P365. One thing to contemplate regarding the P320 and how it relates to the P365. When various videos were recorded of the P320 discharging, not only was it documented to go off from multiple angles (and not just the inertia hit from the rear), but a slow motion video demonstrated that it went off and the trigger DID NOT MOVE AT ALL. Not at all. Certainly not enough to actuate the sear. So what happened? I read the DOD report which didn't help much, but it did allude to the "fix" creating other problems. My question is, What the heck happened to the striker block? THAT is what I think failed. The trigger didn't move, so either the sear deactivated itself, or the striker block failed, but it could not have anything to do with the trigger moving. Anyway, great job. You really nailed this comparison.

If you have other Glocks or a Ruger PC 9 , the Glock is the way to go. The Glock also shoots like a full size pistol and handles recoil better. Was considering a Sig, but the Glock just makes more sense especially if things get nasty, compatible mags makes a lot of sense, like having a 1911 and a Commander

In CA, we don’t have many options to choose our gun. For example, we can’t buy G43, P365, gen 4 or later Glocks, etc. Also, magazine max capacity is 10 rounds.

When I was choosing between the SIG P365. or the Springfield Hellcat. I chose the hellcat because I shot it a little bit better, but more importantly, because of the drop issues, the P320 was having. And I know that same trigger is on the P365. And to this day, I won't buy one because of that. Once they put a trigger safety in, then I'll think about the P365. But right now, I do not trust SIG Striker Fire Handguns

Owning a gun (or more) in my country is somewhat complicated and the price of legal gun can be insanely expensive (even discount prize for government officer). The discount price (for government officer) is 1,500 usd for 26 and 960 usd for P365. (Market price for non officer is around 3,000 usd for both of them.) So, if you are officer here, P365 is a clear winner. But...well, as I have both. P365 is great but 26 is far better in my opinion.

The worse is that even you have a gun, you can't carry a loaded gun in public if you don't have special licence (which is limited to law enforcement officer and very few others). If you shot any attacker to protect yourself. First, you will also be charged for carrying a gun in public, then follow by a long process of trial to proove that you protect yourself "properly" and "reasonably". If you are not law enforcer here, having a gun for self defense only leads you to eternal dilemma. Illegally carrying a legal gun in public for self defense or legally leave it at home and pray that you will be fine out there. Well, the law permit you to legally carry unloaded gun locked in box or safe container, but only for transportation purpose. To be clear, my country is generally safe. The crime rate is normal to moderate and there are only a few cases of mass shooting. It is not like you are in danger in broad daylight. Most of us live thier lives without any trouble. But there are who, when and where that you shouldn't risk your life unprepared.

Not knocking your choice but I prefer the 26 after having owned it and the 27. Now maybe that's due to having the 26 first but the weight of the 27 is noticeable, shooting wise though, no difference. Never thought the 27 was more snappy than the 26, so it's really a what flavor do you like and can't go wrong either way, especially with ammo prices bring them both to basically the same price (at least where I live).

my p365 striker broke after less than 300 round. been carrying a brick for the past 2 months without knowing. coulda cost me my life. sig knew about this problem and didnt do a mandatory recall on it. rubbed me the wrong way and i traded my p365 for a walther ppks. (for collector purpose) i now carry the g26 and the springfield hellcat.

When I called Sig about problems with their strikers breaking they claimed there were no problems. This doesn’t instill much confidence. Unfortunately guns are like guitars in one aspect; the manufacturers pay people to endorse their products. So look for what is carried by the pros that can have any gun they want and price is not an issue.

My current version of the P365 has thumb safety. I can release the safety. It is releasable in the holster. I certainly have my eyes on picking up a Glock. Not sure which model. I do like CCW guns.

They seemed a little rough, but I just (cleaned and) lightly oiled them and used 7000 grit on the edges of the feed ramps and they're very smooth and function flawlessly. (I do this with all new mags though).

Just bought a stainless P365 3 weeks ago. Every time I carry it, it rusts. Ridiculous. Can’t return it which sucks. Trade in value is likely a joke. I’m stuck now. Don’t talk to me about firearm maintenance. I’ve CLP’d it several times and it still happens - slide, mag release, sights. Unacceptable. The Glock 19 I carried was flawless.

Ballistol, stinks like crazy when applied but a light sheen and it won't rust, use it on all mine especially 1911's. It's a game changer for black powder which rusts just because the sun came up, lol.

YeH the sig finish isn’t great at all. I have stainless and black. The black scratches and has holster wear like immediately after a couple of holster and un holstering. I definitely need to maintain the stainless more.

Great video. It brings a historical reference for new shooters to see and understand that the G26 is still relevant today. Like most I carry a G23/"19" in the winter and a G27/ "26" for summertime. But like everyone I went thru the odyssey of single stack 9mm or 380acp for summer carry because of their size, thickness and weight compared to the G27. From the Nano, XDS, Shield, Bodyguard, TCP, and Pico but in the end capacity always came up which the G27/26 had. Since 2018 when I purchased the P365 my journey for a perfect blend of a very small handgun with enough capacity ended. But I did have to thicken the P365 grip by adding a Pachmyr slip-on grip to make it thicker like the G27. Everything you brought up in this comparison is right on the money. I still have my G23 and G27 because they still are useful and reliable. Keep up the great work brother.

Thank you. This G26 is still my EDC, though I do have a few things I will use when I either need more power for the place I am going to be (G29 for the woods) or smaller footprint due to clothing (G42/43).

I have the Sig. And I carry it daily. I have tried Glocks in several calibers, 9 mm, .40 S&W, .45 ACP, and every one of them "bite" my trigger finger. I don't have that issue with my Sig. It could just be my hand, I don't know. But I couldn't argue with either one. I just PREFER the Sig.

When shopping for my first EDC, I shot a lot of rounds through both at my local range. For me the fit, feel, recoil, thinner dimension, shorter barrel length, concealability and aesthetics of the P365 were all superior to the Glock. Factor in better sights and a better feeling trigger and there wasn't any doubt which one I preferred.

It is a great gun. But when I went to buy mine the hellcat just fit my hand much better. I liked the hellcat sights better. Get an extra round in the hellcat. So I went in to buy the 365 and I walked out with the hellcat. Don’t regret it

I prefer the 26, because I didn't have to buy two of them to get one that left the factory reliable. Sig might be the better gun in size and capacity, but Glock didn't have me test their guns for them.

@@greamatter I've owned many Sigs over the last 30 years. The last turds I gave them money for was a p365, and a m18. I still own the M18 (it went back TWICE), and I bought the 17 just to have them both in my collection of MHS guns. The p365 I basically gave away in a trade just to get rid of it. But I'll never buy another Sig unless it comes in a battered old orange box, and says made in Germany on it.

@@joeytomato my first Glock went back. Couldn't fire more than 1/2 dozen rounds without stovepiping. Went through around 100 rounds trying different ammo hoping to find something it liked. Ended up sending the gun back with a letter and diagram showing the problem. The sent me a replacement that worked fine.

@7:34 you may want to get a different set of rear sights. One is bigger than the other...which tells me one of your eyes is more dominant than the other. A larger rear right dot sight may help. Or get them changed to a more vibrant color so it wont grey out inside your vision. Make sure they're even in circumference though. I am legally blind, this is a problem I have. It may not seem like much, but give it a try. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference.

@@matmon4953 365 is more comfortable to carry but it conceals so well it’s hard to get a master grip from appendix with the standard 365 grip. I’m going to swap for the XL grip and see if it helps. it’s pretty close up to preference really. I personally shoot the 26 better but haven’t had nearly as much range time with the sig yet.
