Flash forward 3 years and its particularly relevent, the Indiana mall hero puts 8 of 10 shots on target at 40 yards and puts down the mass shooter. That made me realize how important distance shooting could be. Looking at the G 26 Gen 5.

Although slightly larger the glock 26 shoots much better than the sig p365; it has a larger grip and much easier to sight. I have both and in a IWB holster both are easy to conceal. The best option is actually the glock 27 40 caliber with 30% more power in the same size. The glock has other advantages such as the option of up to a 33 round magazine for possible use in riot type situations. Just my opinion; I still don't trust the reliability of the Sig P365 yet and I can't point and shoot as accurately as with the glock. Lots of options now though.

I tell everybody my Glock 26 was a double stack micro 9 before double stack Micro 9s were a thing. I also have carried the +2 mag extensions since I bought the gun, and I’ve carried every way you can think, IWB, OWB, appendix, Fanny pack, ankle holster. I’d love to have a Gen 5 also, but my Gen 3 is still doing just fine. I think a timed 10 rounds @ 20 feet scored on a full size silhouette would be be a better test for you guys. It would entertaining to watch as well.

P365 is my EDC, but seriously considering Glock 26 Gen 5. Just got my Glock 19 Gen 5, ahh man ... I converting to a Glock Fan. Though, I carry condition 1, with Safety, will get some getting use to run w/o if I do invest and change to a Glock 26.

Nice showdown, and a good example of the limitations of smaller guns vs decked out competition rigs. If you could carry the competition rig comfortably obviously thats the way to go. The trigger on that gun would let you hit out to 150 yards without much fuss.

Glock 26 is a good gun. My Gen 4 was a lemon, which prompted me to switch to my Sig P365, carried for almost a year now. Sucks because I know Glock is a generally reliable brand. I only own SIG pistols, just picked up a P320 XCompact that I’m testing tomorrow at my local range. I do really want either a Glock 19 MOS, or a 19M.

First the 12 round Sig mag gives you a longer grip. The real test would be realistic rapid fire at 7-10 yards , where the heavier recoiling lighter Sig will be at a disadvantage. Long range slow fire means nothing

If you’re going to have a true competition with your CCW weapons, use them like you will if you have a real event. Set up a man size target, use a timer, and from the holster, see how long it takes to put two in the chest and one in the brain.

I waited for the last gen of the P365. I prefer a compact for edc. However, for deeper conceal, the P365 is an amazing pistol ... a very small subcompact and a shooter!

I knew those big dots were going to get you eventually lol. Eventually the front sight is bigger than the target, and this happens even quicker with the big dots. I’d say if you had a regular front sight the Glock 26 wins, but you didn’t so it’s a draw

I have had Big Dots on multiple pistols, I use the XS standard dots now because-wait for it-they are more accurate. It's hard to hit your target at distance when you can't see it or you have to use a 6 o'clock hold which is slightly less forgiving on a big dot with a larger circumference. I'm pretty sure that even with the stock polymer crap sights you could have done better.

Doubt it. I sold my 365 after two range visits. Another big sig let down. If you go on Armslist you will find way more 365 for sale compared to 26 and there's a reason.

I thought they both hit the last 50 yards 3 times each, it seems more like a draw. But I agree with what the other guy said, if I wanted to conceal, the P365 is the best way. But if I had to fight for my life or were in a war zone, I'd easily prefer the G26, especially with a large capacity mag option.

26 any day everyday! Sig was good before they came to America. If you appendix carry you really don't know what you're doing. In a video demonstrate a non-dominant hand draw. It's a dangerous flaw
