Dealer add-ons bring up the first edition to $80k+?! Defeats the purpose of making the Land Cruiser cheaper. The previous model was $90k but you got so much more and it was indestructible. I wouldn't go to that dealership because of the greedy add-ons.

I agree with you 100%. Local dealer in San Jose quoted me $88k. I will buy a 2 year old Mercedes for half the price and I am still head with a luxurious super safe car and more options.

I walked into the Toyota dealer and saw a new First Edition on the floor fully loaded. I drove it home the same day. I placed an order for the Lexus equivalent, a GX 550, last April. After waiting six months I chose the Landcruiser instead. Great choice.👍

I checked on the official website, and there are a lot of differences where you are saying it has, but on the manual, it does not. For example, there is no Android/iOS auto support, no drive assist, and some automatic options in trail mode.

I own a 2009 Land Cruiser LC200 w/ ~190,000 miles and I've seen others with 300-400k on the clock. What're the chances the 300 series has the same reliability? Bc I am not seeing it.

Going with the first edition simply for the power passenger seat… I like to sit back and let my wife drive so i need the powered passenger seat… But this should of been standard on the land cruiser, especially for that price or they should at least make an option to upgrade the seats.

Does anyone know how much the battery & electric motor add to the weight of the vehicle? Im not crazy about the extra weight & the room it takes up in the cargo area? I like the Land Cruiser but the return on gas mileage & extra hp does not justify the extra weight & cost. Too bad Toyota doesn’t give you any options.

I drove a 1958 recently, and 55k is way too much to pay for that thing. Id be okay paying 35k for it. It just feels cheap. The past Land Cruisers were 90k because they were designed to last for 30 years, they were well equipped, and were much bigger. These new ones are the size of a 4Runner, and the 1958 is not well equipped. I thought I'd be okay with that, but I'm not. The cheap, rattly plastics are terrible. Most importantly, there's no way that 4 cylinder hybrid is going to last for 30 years. I don't mind a bare bones utilitarian vehicle, but for that price, it's unacceptable. I was really looking forward to this vehicle, but I'm super disappointed.
