Hey bro! Love your channel. I gotta say this real quick. 3 way, full range speakers are designed for direct swaps, playing off the head unit. Component speakers works best with a amp and a sub. If you're going to put a amp in your vehicle and you're gonna run a subwoofer, component speakers are the way to go, but if you just want better sound with the factory head unit, full range speakers is the best bet for that scenario.

The Alpine speaker design is for balance. The others are for loudness.
@blownvoicecoil1243 жыл бұрын
timpano midrange beats it alone imo just imagine it with a tweeter too
@krowwithakay2 жыл бұрын
@@blownvoicecoil124 that would sound horribly peaky and harsh. The timpano is not playing higher, it's playing the highs that it can play louder, which makes it appear to have more highs. the Alpine in reality plays way higher and more linear. Another critical part to sound is the attack. The tweeters on the Alpine will have way better attack than the timpano at the higher frequencies allowing it to sound much more dynamic and impressive. Trust me if you want an SQ system you want the tweeter to play lower into the frequencies range, and keep the super high frequencies away from that midrange with a crossover or dsp. You can try your luck with some of the passive crossovers on Amazon, but I'd recommend learning how to design your own.

If you’re replacing your stock speakers, I would use the coaxial type speakers especially if your car has a amp stock. The 6x9 or 6.5 coaxial speakers used in a stock amplified system usually has to output below 80hz or bass frequencies. Also the design of a stock door or rear deck is designed to optimize the speakers the manufacturer uses. If your going to run a separate amplifier for your mids and highs, then I’ll suggest going with loudspeakers. If you’re looking for just a simple replacement just stick to the coaxial speakers because of the lower frequencies they can play.
@nnnvv21214 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure those alpine use a silk tweeter that’s my preference the highs aren’t as harsh
@ronojpayeng6373 жыл бұрын
Still i loved that $120.. because it has clear deeper bass with enough mid and high frequency sounds ( too disturbance higher frequency chik chik sounds)❤️ others are just a bit focusing on loudness and higher frequency and forgetting the bass.

Do a test on power matching, say 80w output testing on an 80w speaker, a 160w speaker, 250w speaker, and a 300w speaker. All same speaker designs.

O.K., Mike...you just don't like deep bass coming from anything other subwoofers it seems. The Alpines win hands down! All of the other speakers sounded way too bright & harsh. The deep bass is what wins it for them. I need undistorted bass coming from my door speakers. I had them in the front doors of one of my cars & my goodness, they sounded fantastic!!

Can you put the rated speaker watts, frequency response and sensitivity for each speaker on the screen. Sensitivity means how loud the speaker plays 1 watt at 3 feet away , there's a reason manufactures put this info on the box. You should measure all speakers of the same sensitivity . Long story short of you have only a stock radio try to get the highest sensitivity speakers you can find. Like 92db would be good.

@LOGANTUBE084 жыл бұрын
The only way to get low bass is with a sub. A 6.5 coaxial isn't gonna do it. You'll have better success with a 6x9 but those don't fit most vehicles.

I have 2 pairs of Deaf Bonce Sylvesters 6.5" speakers just for the front, one pair is in kickpanels, one pair in the front doors in stock speaker location. They are the best (mid-range speaker) I have ever heard in my life. I'm gonna get 2 more pairs, one for the rear deck, and one for the front doors, it'll be a total of 6 Deaf Bonce speakers in the front, 2 in rear. It should be much louder. The average midrange speaker sounds terrible, even PRV. But Deaf Bonce really came in and changed all that
