I really want someone to come out with a yarn that's a glow-in-the-dark acrylic/SW wool blend. Could you imagine fluorescent with GITD?!

Purple Pop! I watched the video with my husband, and both of us initially thought this was Vivid Violet, then as the colors changed during the dye process, we realized I had Purple Pop. I think this will benefit from contrast with a non-fluorescent color. Maybe pair one of each in a band of mosaic crochet across the bottom of a sweater.

I think having the lights in my house helps. The aquarium has black light on some ramps :D

Not to be gross - but those little flashlights that identify pet stains are black lights. And that's a whole 'nother chemistry lesson, I guess!

I got way behind on your videos due to a loss in the family, my getting sick (again) and my daughter's operation that was a disaster (she's fine, one doctor didn't show up). But I'm back. Anyway! I love the dye mops as usual. When the black light came on they reminded me of those string lights used in dance clubs and other places. Great work!

I have seen photos of this type of yarn at yarn fairs / some indie yarn stores. Knitty Knatty on KZbin was doing a tour of US yarn stores, one featured this type 🙂🌈💟 - Fluorescent glow in the dark. She was using a torch in the dark to demonstrate 😅🔦

Those turned out pretty Question...can you dye with koolaid in shoeboxes as well, then steam heat afterwords??? Have you done it before???

You can! I'm not sure if I've done this exactly with Koolaid - maybe I did with the dyelishus cotton blend that can be dyed with acid dyes? But you absolutely can do this with food coloring!

Ok-I know what I want to spend part of my bonus on. I would love to see a color triangle with these. Would adding to blue to the purple make it more fluorescent without changing the color much?

so you cant really go wrong with either brand? Ive switched to jaquard just because it's easier to get.

Correct! I have some prefrences, but I use both and love the results. I like Dharma's fl. safety orange better than jacquard's fl. orange, but you can adjust the tones to your liking by adding more pink or yellow. There isn't a good eqivalent to purple pop in jacquard's line - but you can mix something with turquoise and hot fuchsia.
