There are only a couple of the SMSMS yarn sets left that have all of the fun extras - including the first ever ChemKnits enamel pin! www.etsy.com/shop/chemknitscreations/?etsrc=sdt&section_id=37643062

I think they're super pretty on the silk, I have no idea if I could do this in person. I haven't seen this much transfer ever.

That Yak (at the 5% DOS) came out absolutely gorgeous. I was drooling all over my cell phone screen!

Tiny correction - it is a 0.5% DOS. I shudder to think how a 5% dos would bleed!

My word, who knew I'd like the look of that yak soo much! I really love this video. It would make color mixing so much easier. You can easily see where you might want more of a color. I kind of wish you also had a 1% on the green and yellow, since they are less saturated, although, I think the yellow will still be fairly close since it is so bright. These types of videos are truly so helpful in understanding how quickly a color may fall off or fall out (like the blue falling out of the purple).

The blues falling out of the purple and green were the most surprising to me! Maybe because those pigments are so minor compared to the pink/yellow? I'm not sure!

I was really hoping you would group the colors as gradients. So fun.
@ChemKnitsTutorials
@ChemKnitsTutorials 2 жыл бұрын
I think that those gradient sets are STUNNING, too. And I'd happily dye up some of those for sets. Since the theme was painting rainbows, I figured that someone might be sad if they ended up with a single color. ;)

Neon exhaust really easy especially at lower colour depth.. I dye nothing but neon pastels and they are almost holographic at the lowest depth

I've done super pastel variegated yarn before, but I normally go for brighter colors.

Even with the tiny calculation difference, the colors all look great. I actually kind of like the effect it had on the Yak base. They don't look neon, but they are soooo beautiful.

Very cool! I wonder what the deal is with blue at the lowest DOS...not only did the purple get pinker and the green - more yellow, even the Frozen at the low DOS had a greenish case (or so it seemed on my monitor!).
@ChemKnitsTutorials
@ChemKnitsTutorials 2 жыл бұрын
That could have been the lighting, I think in person it didn't feel greenish to me. But now that I'm thinking about it... Frozen does have a mix of different of pigments but Dharma's website doesn't say what they are. Bummer! I would have loved to know.

Carribeann Blue is Wash fast and Jacquard turquoise. There is a difference in the...particle size, but it's all the same pure dye. How do I know? I have all three and I'm set for life. I'm also a foodie.
