I own the 2010 3038E and after 700 plus hours very impressed! The only issues with this machine is the front axle seals, both output shaft seals went, and both hub seals went on me. The turbo will last forever if you treat it right, oil changes, also idle the tractor down after hard use, the turbo spins many thousands of rpm's, when folks shut off the engine quickly the turbo still spins with no more oil psi. Let idle for a couple minutes prior to shutting off and will last ya a lifetime! I also like the 30 horses at the PTO. Thanks great video!

I have the 2010 3038e and have the issue with the front axle hub seals leaking at the pivot point, did you repair them yourself? How difficult are they to repair?
@kenh90972 жыл бұрын
@@RobertJohnson-rt8nc I repaired 2 out of the 6 seals, hub and output shaft seals, the dealership repaired them 4 times, took a few hours for the hub seals soup to nuts. Not too bad

I’m looking to buy a 3038e. I’m in NJ and trying to find a good price. Probably will buy in a couple months tho. Just trying to do some research on them. Are the 2018 and older any good? Thank you for the info.

Does the backhoe attachment serve as adequate ballast for these particular models?

Great vid! Can you do one in depth with the 3025e vs the 3032e? Im curious what the differences are that make the 3032e have 7 extra hp over the same engine in the 3025e (despite having to deal with the dpf). I know the 32hp has a 3k rpm redline as opposed to 2400, but curious if theres anything else (injectors? Fuel pump? Hydraulic pumps?).

Here in oklahoma alot of the tractor dealers are stupid when buying a 3032 or 3038 they will tell you know it can not lift a round bale and yes it is a 4x5 small round bale even when you tell them I have a 4300 almost the same setup and they still argue with you and then when you ask them have you ever work with these tractor the answer nope. And then I get mad and I tell them how in the hell would you even know. And what they are trying to do is sell them a much more expensive tractor. It literally blows my mind lol. But yes you are definitely right as long as you got some counter balance in the back

The front diffs on these thing leak because they have no breather, stupid design. I installed a breather on the front diff, cured the axle leaking issues !

That is a safety warning found on many tractors. It's about potential rollback onto you and is important to be aware of.

Yes, an aftermarket cab is an option.

Why would JD make a drawbar "Optional equipment"? Honestly that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard and I LOVE JD. I'm currently in the process of buying a brand new 3032e from my local JD dealership and that is something they never mentioned! Tractors are made for PULLING STUFF! >:( Still can't wait to take delivery! Heading to the dealership this morning to discuss the "Optional" drawbar.
@eastcoast.30cal283 жыл бұрын
@napernick I've read somewhere that the draw bar towing capacity is somewhere just over 4000lb mark. I would have to dig out the manual to give you an exact number.

I bought (new) a 2013 3038e. As of this writing, it only has 260 hours on it, so take this for what it's worth... The PTO control needs adjustment The throttle hand control does not stay put/requires regular tightening Rear tire took an excursion (fell off) after 15 hours. I did not retorque it as instructed. That said... really JD? Be aware I suppose. I've heard the front axel seals give out on the E series (like within a couple hundred hours). We'll see The unit squeals and bitches like a cat in heat. I've heard this is normal and to ignore it. Something to consider? Depends on you. A sadist designed the placement of the fuel tank. Heaving 5 gallons of diesel up on the operator's deck and into a 2 inch hole, right next to the dash controls... come on. (they may have fixed this... but let me bitch) All that said, the E series (knock on wood) has been a good tractor for me. It brush hogs and moves dirt and does just about anything I ask it to do. So far as loader and bales... it may lift them... and the tractor right over into a ditch if your not careful. The main strength of this tractor... frame size (I can do things and go places the bigger frames just can't fit). The main draw back... it's a feather weight at 2300 lbs (and nobody told the loader). Be careful. - I bought the year before foldable ROPS (live and learn... this is just me bitching... it won't fit in a normal garage bay... misses by less than an inch) - I have not attempted round bales, so I defer to other comments/experiences - Pallet forks... Very useful! I bought a china-model (of the "Titan" brand/amazon). A pallet of flag stone bent the fork cradle. Bad forks... powerful loader. - Frontier 2060(?) was part of package from JD and it is a beast. Our land is several+ decades untouched. Cinder blocks, tposts and barbed wire are regularly "ingested" by this deck. Not good, but clearing and restart and the thing just keeps going/mowing/hogging and stays in balance. The exterior pieces all broke off or bent but I don't care about the cosmetics. - The included loader bucket... bent it the first week pushing a tree over. Again, cosmetics don't concern me. It's a decent bucket (wish it had some teeth though) - Included box blade (Frontier) also very useful for moving dirt and keeping the driveway accessible. Adjustable rippers MAKE the blade. - Included posthole digger (I think it was Frontier)... overpriced but solid. I'd opt out of this (if offered) and shop for a cheaper version... save hundreds in process. - Get an iMatch. Get an iMatch. Get an iMatch. Or whatever they now call the quick attach gizmo for the 3pt.

I have the quick hitch attachment on my 790 model and it works great, but when I checked on the same thing for the 3032E tractor it was so expensive until I decided to buy one of the Chinese made models which was much less. My 3032E has the fuel cap on top and I don't like lifting the fuel container up in the seat or on the hood. I won't buy another JD tractor, but I should not have to buy anyone's tractor since I am older and the ones I have is working just fine so far. They could have put a draw bar on the new tractors like they did the older ones and they are just getting too cheap.

@@rodnickell8835 If you're laughing... cool. If you're asking... tractor is still solid. Had a clogged fuel line. JD came out and fixed (to the tune of 300 bones) the first time. I fixed (for free) the second time. Tractor is still doing the job.
