One small tip I could give is on piles that have been rained on and set up, is to back drag from the top of the pile to break the dirt loose then scoop up the loose dirt.

I have the a 2012 1026R that I had the Mauser cab installed last year by my JD dealer ($5,200). This year's winter we had 33" of snow which kept me busy moving snow with my 54" two stage snow blower on the front of my tractor. It was a real life saver keeping my long driveway open and four other neighbors places. The Mauser cab is a bit more up scaled than the Curtis but if my garage door opening was taller, I would have opted for the deluxe Curtis. They both make a fine cab. I had one on my under powered 4x2 Gator. After adding the cab to my Gator I ended up selling it for a 825i Gator. The little 4x2 couldn't handle the extra weight of the cab. Thanks for the informative video :)

Tim, great video. I run a 3039R and it's a beast. One thing I noticed. Maybe you can take a look at is when driving into a pile like that, I think the first move of the bucket when you start the lift is out and up. I believe it is the out that is stopping you and not the up. At the start of your lift, you are trying to move the entire pile forward just a little before you actually lift. To avoid this, you either need to back up a little before lifting or lift as you are driving forward into the pile before you get stuck. I don't believe driving forward until you get stuck is going to get the most out of your lift. When you did your lift test, you did not have this restriction and that's why it performed much better.

Tim when I was comparing tractors last year the Kioti CK2610HST that I ended up going with had more hydralic flow than the Deere 3032E which in turn gave it more lift power. I'm not saying either tractor is better or worse, I just picked the one that best fit my needs.

I love that there are so many options on the market. I have had a 2305, a 2320, and recently traded the 2320 on a new 3025E. I do not need a belly mower, since I mow with an x754. I wanted a full Cat1 lift height and love the size and compactness of this 3E series tractor. The 300E loaders are not as nice as the R version, or the 200/300cx loaders were. But the machine is a lot less money than the new R series. They sell a lot of them, and for a lot of folks they work perfect. I fall into that category. For my small horse farm it works perfect.

Robert Regan that is too bad. The 3R has essentially double the lifting capabilities of the 3e. The 2R has more capabilities than the 3e!
@fooddude99214 жыл бұрын
@@TractorTimewithTim Well, the 2R and 3E are virtually tied in every category, the exception having to due with the loader (since the front axle capacity is better in the 2R) - the dumping height and the breakout force of the 2R is better, but the heaviest thing I lift on a regular basis is a full load of dirt and that never comes close to the 3E lift capacity. I did lift my zero-turn mower that got stuck in a ditch once and needed the full 845lbs lift capacity (the same for 2R and 3E) since the zero turn weighed in at 845lbs also. The 3E rear axle can handle more weight, but both 3-point hitch capacities are the same, so I guess my 675 tiller would do just as well on either. I didn't need a mower deck either, so that wasn't a factor, plus the 2R cost a couple grand more, so for my needs the 3E made sense and I guess that's what matters as you always say. Now, I would've liked to have the option of getting a backhoe and at the time I was out of luck with the 3E, but low and behold out came the 370B, so I'm back in business. In the end though I would've been much better prepared for the purchase had I came across TTWT first - keep rocking the vids!

@Zurar5 жыл бұрын
Nice and thorough video on the lift capacities, Tim. I think a large part of what's causing your issues with that mud is the tooth bar. That mud looks like it sticks together really well, so you're actually getting a TON of weight (maybe literally) on just that tooth bar, and because it's so far out in front, you can't even curl your bucket. I bet both tractors would work great with the tooth bar not installed. A little side-note on cabs; I was just at my local (well, closest) dealer with my dad (he's looking for a diesel mower but not sure about a SCUT) and decided to ask about the 2-series as I may upgrade to it. He did say that the 2-series cabs should be coming "this year". I'm not sure his sources, but he did sound pretty confident in saying that, and being a fairly good sized and reputable dealer, I wouldn't think he'd want to say that if he wasn't sure. Tim, Check to see if that model has a pressure regulator for hydraulic power.. watching you try to lift that and the major whine coming from the hydraulics when you did, tells me something is wrong with the unit.. It should have a lot more lift power then that.. I used one doing heavy large gravel and then moving an entire section of mud and dirt that washing down hill off a drive way (the 1023e was at the new house so a neighbor came over with his 3 series and helped here during the flooding a couple weeks ago).. and it easily lifted all of that without a problem from piles just as you did here.. Even the 1023e we have now has had no problems lifting mud/clay large piles here as we clean up from the flooding... My bet is either the pressure regulator is not set right on the series three or something is wrong with the pump especially with how loud that thing is whining...

I know how you had disscussed this while you were in Germany because factory cabs tend to have better fitment when compared to a Curtis cab, or something of that nature. Also as seen in this video with the Curtis Cab on the 3032E, the amount of sound detaining that is provided from a non-factory option is far less supirior to the sound detaning probided from a factory cab option, at least that is what I tend to see. Please let me know your point of view is, I am interested to see this cab in action. Thank you

I have a 2017 3039R and it doesn't have any trouble pushing into a pile of dirt or lifting in anyway for that matter... this is probably just the issue with the economy version of the tractor I suppose.

or that wet clay time dirt
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
3039R is TOTALLY different tractor. Lift/breakout capabilities are dramatically different from the 3E
@llru5tynut5ll515 жыл бұрын
I really wish you could compare the 3025E to the Yanmar 424. The breakout on the Yanmar with the YL 210 loader is over 300lbs more than the Deere according to the spec sheet but oddly enough at a lower GPM. We are trying to decide on which to buy and are leaning more toward the Deere but after seeing this, and knowing the majority of our work will be with the loader and wet clay for dirt I’m slightly concerned. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well, I’m not much of a fan of the 3e series. I would recommend that you consider a 2032r rather than 3e...stronger machine.
@llru5tynut5ll515 жыл бұрын
Is it stronger because it’s a higher HP? Because I thought the 3 series was a step up overall compared to the 2 series, E or R regarding hydraulic GPM and pressure. Please elaborate.
@llru5tynut5ll515 жыл бұрын
Also, can you list specifically what you don’t like about the 3 series from the number 1 reason down?
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
specifically 3 E series. I love the 3R series. I have discussed in other videos. 1) loader not removable. 2) less capacity than 2R 3) no mid mount mower option 4) bare minimum features . (no arm rest, no e-throttle, etc). Mainly, I don't like that they label it a 3 series...but it is less capable than the 2R. Look at the specs, you'll see.

Can you get a rear PTO powered hydraulic power pack for the 3032E and then run front skidsteer attachments?
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Yes...but you would need to add the Ssqa adapter. By that point, you would not be able to lift an attachment of any decent size

Yep. Low gear, 4wd, WOT.

It just a mind-set. You think bigger tractor equals more power. Why it maybe true with HP, its the Hydro-pump that's doing all the work.

Wow, my 3033r suffers non of the curl or lift issues, I can dig into frozen solid piles and rip them up. And I don’t even have a tooth bar.

Your 3033r has much higher lift capacity specs than this tractor.

Most of these manufacturer now have things designed so it won't self destruct from hydraulic forces. It's good in the respect of inexperienced operator. I'm ajusted to payloader with no end to curl and lift. Back of machine coming off the ground. The old 610 bobcat skid loader would lift way more then it was designed for and lots of accident happened because of it.

Hey Tim what about hooking up to backhoe or other equipment it look like you can't turn your chair around because the cab
@lonewolfpa5 жыл бұрын
At least on my 3120 with a 375 backhoe. ( the 3 series was their replacement) the backhoe has its own seat and you can’t turn the seat on the tractor.
@strangerdanger12715 жыл бұрын
The 3000e tractors have an aluminum rear diff and are not rated for a backhoe.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
The 3e does support a backhoe as of 2018 or 2019

Hey Tim, I have a question for you. I just bought a JD 3032e brand new from my local dealer. It came with a drawbar and I noticed the drawbar mount/box that the actual drawbar pins to... that bolts to the underside of the rear axle has some play in it. The bolts seem tight but the whole apparatus seems sloppy. Is that normal?
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Normal.

Tim , I really don't understand these new Tractors , I have a 2007 2520 with 200cx loader and 53 inch bucket i bought new in 2007 , I can drive into a pile of large gravel , and with full bucket it will lift all the way up. Why are these new Tractors not as strong as the older ones.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
Loose gravel is totally different than that packed mud. Much easier.

@paintballer71719865 жыл бұрын
Is it because the tractor is underpowered or the fel?
@Formulabruce5 жыл бұрын
Its because its dry weight is 2222 lbs.. I had tires loaded on mine and carry a ballast box and my new E series does fine. Moves snow MUCH better than my 2025R or my 1026R ever did.

Dang... are you sure there isn't something wrong with that tractor? The hydraulics don't even seem to whine when you try to lift or curl that bucket load. It's like you have a dead stick. It also seems to run out of power way too soon when driving into the pile. It seems even weaker than my 2720 which I think isn't quite up to par.
@TractorTimewithTim5 жыл бұрын
I suspect your 2720 has higher specs than the 3e.

What you hear / or Don't hear is the mic in the cab. If the mic was Outside the cab, you would get more of the typical HST whine.
