There's a channel called Grease Garage where he turbocharges a couple different Cyclone motors in Monteros. A lot of his stuff sounds like it would be helpful to you.

I'm guessing we passed each other at Go Pull it a couple weeks ago that weekend it was so hot. I was getting parts for one of my tow vehicles. I have my 6g75 that will be going into a Mk1 89 Raider (Montero), I'm going to start looking for an 6g74 Montero motor to get so I can swap this FWD Endevour motor in. Baby steps, but looking forward to something more than 130hp that my 89 6g72 has.

most likely sir, i always make the 50% off/ all you can carry sales. The mitsu pickings have been slim as of late for the 6G74 cars and trucks, still trying to find a diamante with the digital climate control so i can snag everything to swap into my manual controls 99 base thats getting the 6g75 swap.

Interesting to see all the differences. If I remember correctly you have about 1.5" of clearance between stock hood and intake manifold. I measured it on my 99 for my supercharger build because I wanted to avoid cutting hood at all costs

I have to get more play dough to do an actual height measurement difference once I get the motor back in the car, I know the mivec upper wouldn't let the hood close, but it was super close, so I was thinking maybe with some bracing trimmed in the area of the plenum maybe. But I have a 1g scoote hood I will be molding the center section of to use on a 2g hood, there isn't a huge demand for them so it will probably be limited to just me for the copies lol. And that definitely will take away clearance because I think the scoops are about 2in in height, so this hood would probably barely clear a stock 6g72 much less the taller 6g75.

@twosunsracing I am sure you already plan to but make sure motor mounts are good. I out urethane ones in my. So you don't rock the engine into hood under load

@@sigvision4189 I have poly mounts in mine now, I want to see if the flex under load since i have stock motor mount brackets for those, may end up beefing them up with some .120 tube and plate.
