Thank you, this is so helpful. I've just replaced my Schmincke Raw Sienna and the new tube is quite a bit more red than the original tube, leaning more towards Burnt Sienna. I suppose with natural pigments there are going to be variations but I was quite surprised.

I find it surprising too! It’s true that natural pigments might have variations, but a big brand like Schminke should offer a consistent product! Thank you.

I love your comparison videos. They're so helpful. I really like the Rembrandt gold ochre, it's so pretty. I think I need a tube of it. The Aussie red gold has a beautiful color separating effect when you use a lot of water. I don't know if you already know it but the pigment PR206 will be discontinued completely in all brands. Best time to buy some before it's gone forever. (Winsor and Newton professional offers 37ml tubes of brown madder PR206)

Thank you so much!! I have some stock but I need maybe extra tube of PR206! Best, Elisabetta

Hi Elisabetta, love these color and brand comparisons. Have you tried Chinesel orange by Sennelier? Soo beautiful! Multi pigment, but gorgeous! PY 150, PR 209, PBr 23

Ive read many complaints about Rembrandt's Transparent Oxide Yellow, especially about how hard it is to rewet. Though it lacks glowiness or some color vibrancy, it seems to be truly transparent, whereas similar paints are semi transparent or even semi opaque. 🤔 thank you so much for this helpful video/comparison. 🥰

Having painted a while with it, it’s not the easiest paint to manage; however I like a lot the fact that it’s transparent. Thanks a lot for your message Lindsay! ❤️

@@WatercolorElisabetta I'm enjoying your videos very much.🌷May I ask how you find it hard to manage it? You mean on its own or in mixes? I'm looking for a transparent Raw Sienna substitute. Also, one that is not too "heavy" in the mass tone. Although I miss some vibrancy, I guess it could be compensated with the right mixes. Well, I hope so, at least.

Not a big issue but it’s kind of gluey and sticky, which is unusual for Rembrandt. I don’t really mind but some people don’t like it! It’s a lovely colour though have a try! I have the same by Paul Rubens and it has the same sticky texture.

I had a sudden question while I was rewatching this (looking for a new Yellow Ochre): would you consider Naples Yellow an earth yellow? Do you have a favorite Naples Yellow? I love the color but find it quite hard to find one that is as rich and full bodied as the original pigment; some brands make it this strange pastel yellow. 😭 Such a shame!

You are reading my mind! I love all yellows and Naples Yellows is one that I love and have in many versions! Stay tuned because I will soon make a video!! Take care!

Disappointed that you didn't use Quinacridone Gold from Winsor Newton or Raw Sienna from Daler Rowney.

I’m sorry but I don’t own every single colour in the world 😊 I have later published a specific video about Quin Gold you might find it interesting
