9400 is, without a doubt, the best in class in my opinion. It simply has EVERYTHING that CASIO has to offer, in a surprisingly light, and wearable form factor. I like the new Mudman, but I think Mudmaster with their analog hands, is a better option at similar pricepoint.

I just got the GW-9500-1JF from Sakura Watches. I love this beast! It feels better on my wrist than my Rangeman. The positive display crushes the negative displays on the other two 9500 models.

Love my 9500 Rangeman. I've used it during military parachute operations & land navigation training. And it is my primary watch for scuba diving.

There was an article where the author suspected that Casio used to list mud resistant for the Rangeman before the Mudman came out. As soon as that happened Casio removed it from the description. I suspect to sell the Mudman. I love my Rangeman, but prefer an Analog/Digital watch.

Only the sensor button has more gaskets. Virtually, every G-Shock is mud resistant. G-Shocks have a lot of gimmick stuff.

The new Mudman shares a lot of features with the old Rangeman. However they called it a Mudman and not a Rangeman which leads me to believe we'll get a new Rangeman. I have feeling they're reserving the MIP display and all good stuff for an upgraded Rangeman, a successor to the one with the GPS that flopped.

Weights may be wrong, my 94O0 under present description shows 93 g. Let’s get the skin and review using all positive display for the three comparison.

I own a Gshock D1000 and a 9500 and between the two watches I get everything I want from them. The only downside to the older rangeman and the newer mudman is the new mudman isn't built to protect the crystal as well as a tool watch.

Loving the 'Scrying mode' on the GW-9500. Who knows what time it is? Perhaps some numbers will come through, perhaps not. If you like getting hopelessly lost, this is the watch for you! Keep peering into the black mirror, in the vain hope you can catch a glimpse of the compass. Well done Casio, if you can't keep up with the competition, stick at making calculators

Does the 9500 have the ability to time stamp like the 9400? I use this feature daily for work. I like the look of the 9500 and would consider it when I replace my 9400 if it has this ability.

@@hkarogiannis7074 I just got the 9400 (Black-out) at Xmas. I need to get the positive dial, the negative one is poor to read in low light & dull weather. I believe the "Mudman" has 5 second backlight on stays on when setting the alarm or other functions... 🙄🤔

@@onkarfreshie3127 200m is 200m. I'm talking about the resistance to mud. the watch has some kind of sponge behind the buttons to prevent mud from damaging the seals. But I have no idea how this is tested

@@montre-moi The push buttons are better sealed & no gaps for grit to get into the watch, which is easy to wash off & go. Have a closer look at the case.🤔🙄

Tecnología de Pantalla negativa absolutamente terrible en este reloj. Por otro lado este nuevo Mudman es un Pro Trek 340 metido en un G-Shock, con 200m en vez de 100m pero no puedes girar el bixel para la brújula. Por otro lado su precio es muy elevado. Quizá con pantalla positiva le vea algo más sentido.

well actually the new 9500 is more like an old protrek wich based on the same architecture, functionwise, as the rangeman 9400 wich when it was first released was the 1st triple sensor gshock, feature that was already available if im not mistaking on older protrek versions...so with this new mudman, they kinda reused and old protrek architecture given the fact that the screen is almost indetical to those old protreks ... its a pitty they didnt do an IMP display,, would have been a killer hit.. but like this theres alot o negative opinions regarding it all over the forums and facebook groups...

Casio didn´t catch the train with the GPR-B1000 and I think they´re really late with this new Mudman. My Instinct 2X, even if a little less robust, seems way more powerful than this new Mudman. The only thing that made me look at it is its brand name and my nostalgia 😂

GPR B1000 was a flop due to Casio arrogance. I have one in my collection and hardware is very good but software is painful to use. Of course software could be easily corrected through updates but Casio decided not to do any firmware changes. Funny thing - watch has ability to update software because it got one right after premier.

I love my GW9400 and my GPRB1000 but ever since I got the Garmin Fenix 7X Sapphire, it just works a lot better than the G-Shocks. Obviously, both Rangemans are not in comparison with the Garmin because the Fenix is new technology, they both lack functions that I use when I go hiking. Hopefully, the new Rangeman brings what Garmin has already or similar. The GW9500 is great but having the 9400 no need to get it. I'll wait for the Rangeman, if it ever comes out.

Drop ur fenix face down on the pavement and the drop the rangeman. You’ll find that the rangeman has a trick up its sleeve that the garmin doesnt

The 9500 is just a lazy repackaging of the casio protrek models which have been around for ages and ages. If this was truly new they would have had bluetooth. Save some money and get a protrek.

The new Mudman has a double layer display. I really like the 4 compass direction indicators on top of the digital display. Readability is good enough for me, in particular in daylight outside.
