This was a no brainer that it was coming. When the salvage missions were kicking out 32M for looting a Hercules…. I pretty much bought every ship. That has to be reigned in. So here we are. It’s still not hard to get these ships…. Instead of taking a day in a reclaimer it’ll take you 3 days. Unless they can actually get a dynamic economy going where every day prices change based on input to the economy.

Personally, no issue with the price changes. These ships should be something people work for. I'll be curious to see what other economy rebalancing they do (IMO, they need to make all income streams ~balanced - note: that doesn't mean paying the same - that means risk to reward should be equal across income streams)

I believe a partial wipe is coming. CIG tends to do a reset when they make a big economy change like this one. They will likely wipe ships to see how these prices affect gameplay.

This is a great change to the PU. This game is going to need multi-year legs to keep us interested. It's all predicated on the grind, though. If it's punishing and doesn't respect our time/isn't fun, the game is going to suck. But if we can have fun while we grind up 60m UEC for our space yacht, then this is an excellent change. They should go even higher, but it all comes down to the fun of the grind.

They should go much higher if you ask me. And reduce salvage income, and what other professions gives you as well. It should make you feel like accomplishment when you buy even smaller ship. And then you need to take care of it. Only big corporations with many players should be able to get capital class ship/s. And it should cost leg and arm to maintain it.

@@nemanjagavrilovic8812you see it like that, I see it like that, but I bet there are many who won’t. I regularly see begging in the chat as it is, so I bet it’ll get more common. And It’ll be made worse by CIG adding new ships at a steady rate. I’m lucky because I already have a nice little fleet purchased with real money so I can hit the ground running after a wipe. Be interesting to see how this pans out.
