When one looks at ultra long range, it's exactly why bigger cabins are needed. I have travelled non stop for 12+ hours & it's here where bigger cabin is useful. The traditional biz jets offer no space to move around, once you are seated, it's like business class of commercial airlines. And hence the likes of ACJs comes into picture. Travel 12 hrs non stop, walk out with comfort. And big cargo is big plus. Many a times, it's simply not worth taking a halt, nor does route permit it so need to plan 12+ hrs wherever required. BTW spoke with maintenance engineers of A220, they advised to currently keep away from ACJ220 & better to stick with reliable ACJ320. Also big composites were given thumbs down by them. PW engines are another concern too.

ACJs can’t do ultra long range, are slow and the cabin altitude makes it tiring. Also, there are many airports the ACJ is simply too large for. Oh, and it burns twice the fuel.

@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 ACJs can do ultra long range, these are fitted with additional equipment to cabin pressurization of lower altitude than commercial A320, cabin insulation is better, and international airports are large only. I don't know who lands on airstrip some international flight where immigration is available!! Speed hardly matters for long distance & the on board productivity is far more than conventional jets, fuel burn is more but you save on spares, maintenance, pilot training costs so ownership costs hardly much difference. Also in this segment, fuel is not the number 1 priority in anycase. And yes, large cargo is bonus. Try bringing some furniture from Dubai in G700 or Global 7500!! If you travel with 6 persons or more, it's impossible in traditional biz jets.

It's becoming more of a blur in accommodation difference in the 10X , G700, Bombadier 7500 and.... the Airbus ACJ 220. And; a missed opportunity with the aged Embraer Lineage 1000E.

Lineage is absolete aircraft, offers nothing except bigger cabin which isn't comfortable in air thanks to heavy turbulence.

You need extra range for safetey too! Mybe your maximum range flights are 12 Hours, but what when you get in trouble? The more fuel on board the more optionen you have!

The 10x Compassat carbon fiber wing = No corrosion. !!!!!!Very expensive repair!!!!!

And poor lightning protection. Also it's expensive to fix the coating or metal shield once lightning strikes carbon fiber wings.
