Michael Ansara is, was and always will be Mr. Freeze. He gave something Freeze didn't have before: Humanity. Though Clancy Brown, Maurice LaMarche and Keith Szarabajka are pretty good, especially Szarabajka who captures (no pun intended) Freeze's chilling nature. Though LaMarche is the closest to being Ansara's successor.

Michael Ansara's voice made Freeze terrifying, yet it also gave him humanity that was never seen before Dini's rewrite of his backstory. He did well with the material he was given, and Maurice LaMarche is a wonderful successor to him.

Michael Ansara helped redefine Mister Freeze for more recent years; when he spoke of ice and cold it was frightening, not comical like Arnold in the Batman and Robin movie. Mister Freeze isn't meant to be funny, he's meant to be terrifying, yet tragic at the same time. Ansara definitely brought out those qualities, a great shame he's no longer around. Yes, a great shame indeed.

LaMarche version is pretty terrifying once he has the helmet on and voice modulator activated. You don't get it much in this video but if you search the boss fight you'll hear it and it sounds awesome. One thing that's interesting about the Ansara version is his voice sounds modulated without the suit on but the Lamarche version sounds human without it and then almost sounds identical to Ansara with it. It's hard to explain but yeah.

Ok, here's my list. 1. Micheal Ansara - Delivering a very *chilling* performance, Ansara's voice and the writing of Paul Dini, Mr. Freeze was brought to life. 2. Maurice LaMarche - Are you pondering what I'm pondering? LaMarche is an amazing actor, and surprisingly, he does a great job at impersonating Ansara, which I believe, is very *cool*. 3. Clancy Brown/Keith Szarabajka - These two did a top notch job at using their own interpretation of Freeze. Everyone else here is either decent, good, or just bad.
