Comparing Xeno3 and Proffie / Baselit and Neopixel lightsabers

I order 4 sabers from various companies. Just got baselit versions though. So I can bash them around.

I was hoping to understand if the Proffie base would offer superior lighting and sound effects (apart from most customizable sound effects) to the Xeno3, but it wasn't clear by the end of the video.

It does but it's hard to show. Every moment I was showing a proffie style compared to the Xeno it made no difference visually on camera so I ended up cutting most of it. I have to make a more in depth video going through a lot of proffie effects and modes like I did with Xeno3. Either way it wouldn't even cover 10% of what Proffie can offer but it would still show some of the reasons why it's so loved.

With Proffie be prepared to either learn or brush up on coding for any customization, but it is MUCH brighter, sharper sounds, more accurate and it IS noticeable. Xeno3 while not as good still sounds lightyears better than pretty much anything other than Proffie and has almost as many bells if not whistles and the app even in beta is pretty neat also costs less than Proffie. You want more features and dont mind doing coding and learning an operating system? (its honestly worth learning) Proffie. You want the stuff that people care about baseline and have it do it better than its peers? Xeno3. That all being said im pretty sure Proffie will be the industry standard sooner than later (if they make it more user friendly even more so) so learning the architecture now is not a terrible idea.

@@delsere7095 you dont really see the difference between on camera, im not really sure why... has to be shutter speeds or something but its alot brighter in person. If you are getting one prebuilt they come out the box with really nice fonts if you dont want to deal with learning the OS right away, no micro SD native on some versions type deal like the Xeno3 (Most now days have that as well) like he said in the video its an Operating system not a soundboard.

Sure 😊 in 92cm the baselit blade is 177g, the neopixel is 312g... give or take almost twice the weight.

Very informative, thanks :) I've got the "Xeno3 Baselit" and jealous of the extra effects in the NeoPixel, maybe I'll get it in the future! Though at 6:53 with the font outlines, it seems for the Baselit anyway that only Moonfield had the music left with it, and Double Agent (Revan Inspired) was renamed to "The Butcher" and had no music. Hello there I have purchased the weathered cal kestis saber and it’s been great until this morning I’ve been using it for about two days and now most of the fonts don’t work anymore I can hear the sound but no light maybe I have the control confused an example is I try to use the the senate and theres no light

Hi 👋 If it’s Xeno3 do a factory reset in the app or a reinstall on the sd card. If it’s Xeno 2 which is what I have in my records it could just be a « ghost blade bug ». Switch blade modes until « standard blade », turn off then back on. If it doesn’t cut it get in the support chat we’ll go deeper and check the hardware.

Thanks that worked! But now it won’t even turn on do I have to use the charger it came with I’m not breaking it at all do you know what I should do?

SO I went and ordered a profie saber.. But I'm confused is there an app to run the saber like with the xeno?

Not out of the box. But Proffieboard can host a bluetooth module and there are solutions like the ForceSync app
