At 9:12..you didn't clear it..superimposed means when a river without changing its path cuts deep gorge from soft upper rock layer and flows on hard basal rock layer of the peninsula..

Broadly both are the same thing but if you read specifically then you can say that himalayan rivers like( ganga yamuna & other rivers) make the whole himalayan drainage together, different rivers joins together and makes a whole system of himalayan drainage individually they are himalayan rivers.
