People often forget the price differences between the two. Gekiatsu Daioh is $60 while the Blaze Megazord is $35, so take it for what it’s worth. Tbh people who scream “the Japanese version is vastly superior and BOA toys are garbage!” are probably kids who bug their parents into buying toys without financial considerations anyway.
@checob2242 жыл бұрын
If they are bad they are, if you like them that's great but that doesn't change the fact that the Japanese is superior, but the American version did a good job.
@JayneVEVO6 жыл бұрын
Considering what they've had to do to keep up with the Japanese versions, it's actually pretty dang impressive - seems to be a lot better than their attempts at Megaforce/ Super Megaforce.
@FruityGroovy6 жыл бұрын
I'll admit they are getting better. There's still the issue with them releasing auxiliary zords with a repaint of the Ninja Steel Megazord. Even though the reprints look nice, it's clearly just a way for you to spend more money for an auxiliary zord.

I'm still a Sentai over Rangers kinda guy - but this is a very nice effort on BoA's part to give American buyers as-close-as-possible an experience as they could; which I have to give them props for.

To be honest the American version looks really really close to the Japanese. Of course it’s not perfect however they did a great job getting close to it. For the price of 35 bucks, I think it works fine. If bandai of America can keep getting close to Japanese version as far as looks, I think they on their way. If the plastic was little thicker I think it would be 95% close to being perfect

I wonder if bandai america turns profit having to re do all the molds for this. not that they put any actual effort into it but...
@USSMariner6 жыл бұрын
morMICRO they probably just ask for the project files used to make the originals and downscale from there.

morMICRO The parents only buy toys up to a certain price and the toys need to correspond to that price

I wish a little more detail work was done on the BOA version. The lack of flame details in a lot of areas and the missing "whiskers" on the serpent and fish makes it feel unnecessarily worse. Adding that little bit more paint would have made it feel a lot higher quality without changing anything major. As it stands, however, there's a lot of "blah" space on the BOA figure (that being space where there is one colour at play for too long without anything to give your eyes a break with).

Between Disney, who didn't want much to do with Power Rangers and Saban, who cannot fix a mistake to save their lives one must wonder what the future holds for Power Rangers.

I was surprised at how close Blaze Megazord is, it's overall much closer then the other NS megazords. Really the only zord that isn't good is the Tiger, between the loss of paint, and the loose of wheels, it just feels like a cheap knockoff, while all the others feel like near perfect replicas considering the different needs and budget that BOA has to work with.

Honestly, Bandai of America has yet to really impress me with the toys they come out with related to current shows.

For the price, the US version will work for a kid, and for adults, buy the Japanese one.
@checob2242 жыл бұрын
Not really because the Japanese is for kids and it looks great, the problem is that Bandai of America was lazy.

Bandai America is in early stages of going from crap to good and I mean EARLY STAGES only. As for the Bandai Japan I would say they are taking strong steps to where I can see myself picking up a few of Megazords from them, (lets face it I want all the Bandai Japan Megazords and figures).
@bentruett11636 жыл бұрын
Bandai America is starting to get a little better on there zords I just wish that they would get rid of the zords builder. Also the port on the back of the megazord that flips is a seat for the figures

Considering that, as seen with most reviews, there...really wasn't much to Gekiatsu DaiOh, even as I really don't mind the design, the over simplicity, and the intended mobility of the robot, would you say that the Blaze Megazord is a good substitute for Gekiatsu, considering what I'd probably have to shell out for something that didn't really lose much in the transition because the it didn't have that much going for it in the first place? I want A functional representation of this Megazord, but I'm not so keen on shelling out extra just for an inch in height, paint work that I can just fix myself, and a better version of a gimmick that I frankly don't care for. This is a so-bad-it's-good kind of Megazord for me, hence the conflicting opinions. What I WILL still hate on is the fact that Hououmaru itself SHOULD have been the shuriken itself, or rather, an much fancier shuriken piece that attaches to the soundbox. It would have made Hououmaru much less superfluous in the design and would actually be a clever spin, no pun intended, on the shuriken head gimmick.

Can we... cut the missiles down? Disney's MMPR megazord release and Samurai as well.
@baltmatrix6 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't. The missiles need the length in order to peg in and then be launched. If the ends are cut down they won't launch correctly (I think).

Between the two...I choose neither. I didn't like Gekiatsu Daiou, and I don't like the Blaze Megazord. In this case, they're BOTH garbage. The missing paint apps only make Blaze look even uglier... 2010 was Disney's craptastic & thankfully short-lived Mighty Morphin redux (that makes Transformers Generation 2 look brilliant). The "Dino Megazord" established Zordbuilder and established the scale as the new American "Deluxe" scale for the zords...giving cross compatibility with zords, bikes, and other crap. Even the Legacy Megazord remakes follow the Zordbuilder scale. With MMPR 2010, Legacy, Samurai, Megaforce/Super Megaforce, Dinocharge, and now Ninja Steel...there is a litany of insane combinations that can be done. And that's ONLY counting the Megazords, not even counting the bikes and crap!!
