Have been rocking a 3XL that I really love and was planning on keeping it another year but that deal Google had yesterday made me pull the trigger for a 4a5G. $300 trade in for mine couldn't really pass that up. Thanks so much for this comparison. I agree with others that with the front-facing camera, the warmer tones and less washed-out contrast of the 5G seem better. But with the rear camera, did anyone else feel that in your video of the grass/trees/sky, there was greater detail in grass (and trees) in the 4a phone, and that the 5G one looked over-saturated for the grass?

I've been using 4a for few months now and the Instagram stories keep glitching, fb messenger pop doesn't work, lag switching between apps, I hate it so far... Contacted Google and git sent a new refurbished one, same issues... Thinking about selling it

Despite the fact that they both have the same camera, thanks to your video we can clearly see that 4a 5g is better. I guess this is because it has a more powerful processor. That is why to choose between those two, one should not only consider 5g compatibility, put also power. Thanks for the review (watching from my brand new 4a 5g).

There is an additional consideration for those who plan to use their Pixel devices with Google Fi. Since Sprint merged with T-Mobile, the Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 will no longer be able to connect to any remaining Sprint networks whereas the slightly older Pixel 4A will. There is the following footnote in the Google store page for the Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 phones: "Sprint is merging with T-Mobile, so support for phones designed for Fi released in September 2020 and after is changing. Pixel devices will support Sprint's network in data-only mode when using DSDS (Fi Dual Sim). Other devices will no longer support Sprint's network." This footnote is not shown in the Google store page for the Pixel 4A device. The Pixel 4A was released in Aug 2020 whereas the Pixel 4A 5G & Pixel 5 were both released after the Sept 2020 cutoff date. The takeaway...the Pixel 4A may have more mobile network connectivity options than the Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 devices. Cheers.

Color accuracy and eye catching attraction is better in Pixel 4a 5G, though I am watching on my Pixel 4a. By the way I had no option for 4a 5G and 5 in India. Pixel 4a is launched here only. I am super satisfied with it.

@@aditya44g Never missed. Most of the people don't use almost ever after checking once. One good camera is perfect deal. Avoid junk and you can save your hard work money.

Colours on the 4a 5G are do much better. I always felt the 4a looked a little washed out (but 4a quality is still good). Nice job fella, these take a lot of effort!!💪

I can't decide if the sound quality on the 4a5G is better or not. The wind isn't picked up as much which is great but it sounds quiet and tinny? Trying to decide if quiet audio is worth getting rid of that awful wind in the mic sound.

Hey, guys! What are your thoughts on the longevity of these 2 devices in terms of hardware. 4a5g has a better processor. Will it give this phone a much bigger advantage in the long game or is it just a slight improvement over snapdragon 730g? I'm currently deciding on which one to buy. Personally, I prefer smaller phones. But it's nice to have an ultra-wide, slightly bigger battery and most importantly to have a longer lasting phone.

Battery is bigger on 5g but only lasts 7 hours of netflix The 4a with its smaller battery and more efficient cpu lasts 10 hours netflix watching
