There are plenty of components in the JF-17 that are made by other nations. The RD-93MA engines are bought from Russia, and the ejection seats are manufactured by Martin-Baker which is a British firm. There are dozens of other such critical components in the JF-17 that are not sourced from Pakistan or China.

Tejas is still under developed with only 25-30 jets in service with IAF. While JF-17 is battle tested and exported to 4 countries. Tejas is having issues with acquiring radars, engines and has issues with frame. While JF-17 is advanced to 4.5 gen Block 3. China uses expensively maintained aircrafts like j-16 , j10C, j20 , jf-17 is a cheaper aircraft and is not as advanced as j-16 which is a dual engine air superiority fighter and is costly to maintain, not as j-20 which is a stealth aircraft and is again very costly to maintain, India and pak works on LCAs like Tejas and jf-17 cuz they are cheap to maintain and much cheaper if produced domestically

JF 17 Block 3 that uses Chinese WS 13 should win against Indian Tejas which has to deal with the engine supply problem. Tejas now uses GE-F404 engine produced by GE but GE's production line for GE-F404 is slow or is facing production suspension. Tejas may increase the price for the engine so as to sweeten the deal with GE to ramp up the production. The unit price of JF-17 Blk 3 is U$ 25 million Tejas per unit is pricing at U$ 43 million which is more than 170% of one JF 17 Blk 3 before considering the above Tejas' price incentive to GE. Apart from the price tag, JF-17 is better than Tejas in all parameters except the wing size. JF-17 has canards unlike Tejas which depends on a much larger area of its delta wings. So JF-17 is clearly a better fighter jet. That is why it has secured orders from Myanmar, Nigeria, Azerbaijan. Who will be JF17 Block III 's next customer? Iraq, Iran, Malaysia, Argentina ...?

There is no comparison between these 2 aircraft. JF 17 is under use as well as proven efficiency in 2019 operation swift retort. Secondly it's improving day by day. It's under use by 5 countries at the moment. Azerbaijan is the latest user. In comparison, no Army is using Tejas. Indian Air force ordered TEJAS under enormous social pressure, because HAL was under severe financial crisis and since no other country is willing to buy Tejas owing to its old wing design of 1970s just like MERAJ 2000 series.

Did you see Argentina fighter jet selection programme? JF17 didn't even get shortlisted and got rejected directly meanwhile Tejas got shortlisted and then rejected at the end mainly because of production issues.

​@@direwolf7491Tejas aka Samosa - still being built for 40 years, no exact date for completion who knows it may take another 40 - design, engine, radar & avionics, ejection seat, armaments etc making more than 99% foreign parts, only the assembly and paint job is indian, but somehow it is said to be 100% indigenous. - only 40 built till date, out of which 17 are being used as testing jets, so do your math - no export succes - their own airforce is reluctant to use it - due to all the parts being foreign, respective countries are making artificial delays. Current status : prototype phase/testing phase JF17 Block 3 - built by the joint collaboration between China & Pakistan - Massive export success and operational in 5 airforce already; China Pakistan Myanmar Azerbaijan Nigeria According to Pakistani sources Few other countries are also interested. Current status : Operational as well as battlefield tested 🙂

@@subasthapa8323 According to you JF-17 has been build for 45 years with no sight of completion. Block 1, 2, 3. Lol If you people have the capablity make another fighter jet. At least India is working on multiple: Tejas mk2, AMCA, HLFT, TEDBF and also UCAVs. As for Indian airforce they want over 200 Tejas jets While JF-17 is chinese but China doesn't want a single JF-17😅😅

Bro tejas us ge404 engine and jf 17 use rd 93 engine with same amount of fuel u know tejas will give better range but Pakistani give fake range
