When I first read the Manga, I genuinely thought Light was pretending he didn't know anything till I acknowledge his eyes changed from Kira to normal.

I have to admit, I kind of thought the same thing when I watched the anime for the first time, (I read the manga after watching the the anime, lol). It is easy to assume that's he's just pretending, but it becomes clear that he really has forgotten everything. Thanks for watching!
