The GB4 has a 1500 polished surface. From watching how it read the lane in this video, I'd give it a 2000 surface, no polish, to get it to pick up better. Box finish had the ball going through the pins with too much deflection. The GB4 with box finish would be better for shorter patterns, because it won't over react when it encounters friction. To use it sooner, take off the polish and hope it finishes better. Better yet, just get the Crypto Boom, it looks like a great ball! Thanks for the analysis.

i have the GB4 Hybrid and it rolls well for me on the burn/dryer lanes anything more it doesn't do anything for me I may apply some surface to it and ill maybe get a better response.

Having the same problem with mine!! More surface seems to burn out..more shine don't move!!

The thing I did not like about the GB series is that they seemed like they were always better going straighter and not as versatile across the entire lane. I drilled a GB2 Gold Pearl and was kind of disappointed in the fact that when I moved deeper I just could not get the ball to continue. I was going to consider a GB Asym but even it didnt look like it had much backend like say a Madness. My Fate wants to roll too forward and not exactly what I wanted out of that ball. I may have to look into the BOOM and maybe a Cuda Pearl if they release one this Summer.
