IMO "Competitive Mario Kart" is an accurate title for sure, but it does feel a lot less high-stakes than road to X. Personally I get the vibe that the outcome of the match doesn't matter as much because there's no specific goal to refer to. You know, it's like you're just playing for the sake of it. Just something to keep in mind if you're trying to find a good title format I guess :D

Hey Northern, I appreciate the feedback! Ultimately, I decided on this title format because it's the most general phrase thst new viewers can look at to pick up on what this video is all about. No casual player knows what Road to Diamond is 😅 however, once I get my intro sorted out, it'll feel like Road to Diamond again. No worries!

Me personally, I usually use Wario class on varmint, A. rollers, and flower. Dunno if thats good, but allows a little more extra speed than scooty, but more accel than wiggler. Perfectly balanced imo.

Heyo, been loving your stuff, but imo I'd recommend sticking with the crazy random titles. They work and perform a lot better as standalone videos, and for this type of content there isn't any mandatory continuity. What you could do is have the hashtags #Episode1 #Competitive #MarioKart8Deluxe in the description to let people know what episode it is. Just some feedback I thought I'd right up, if this video ends up being a 1 of 10 then hell yeah who cares keep doing this lol Keep it up

Hey, I appreciate the feedback! Honestly, it just comes down to what will appeal to new viewers the most to me. Which I absolutely agree, the random titles are great for that, but I can only keep that up for so long. It's a lot easier to get behind a series, if you will, so I thought the best way to bridge the gap between attracting new viewers and keeping new viewers invested was to call it Competitive Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. While it's not 1 of 10, it is 2 of 10 and right behind #1, so we'll take it! 😅

Going through all the heavies, would be cool to see gold Mario or Morton next. Also just curious, you often say things like "I need a box in 9th" is there any reason for that? Item distribution isn't based on your position since MK7 so is this just a feeling of relative distance to 1st?

It's a mix of both. Yes, how close you are to 1st does influence your items, but you generally can't pull items like bullet bill, blue shell, or lightning in spots below 9th. Here's an example: if the pack is really close and I'm in 9th, I'll probsbly get 4 mushrooms. If the pack is scattered and I'm in 9th, I could get a golden mushroom and a star. Hope that helps!
