The people are so friendly and welcoming. Ireland is the first country that I have ever been to that likes Americans. It was really cool to see my ancestral homeland. Oxford is still viewed with the utmost prestige, ranked amongst the foremost universities in the world as it always has been. There is nothing inherently extreme about being anti-Israel. I would suggest perhaps that the outrage amongst some of Britain’s brightest young adults here is simply from the very weak defence of Israel provided. Two close friends of mine travelled to Israel shortly before the October 2023 massacre. They reported in no clear terms an incredibly racist society that denigrates its Muslim/Arab population as second class citizens.
